The only things
The only things telling you that your current circumstances will always be that way And that your habits will always be that way Are your body and mind They are used to certain inner states and sensations If we allow them to feel a new inner state and get comfortable with other sensations that they currently don’t enjoy and help them enjoy them Then they learn to be joyful as a default state That’s why working with the body is so valuable

This is a strong way to look at it. Your body and mind aren’t predicting the future they’re just repeating what they’re used to. When you introduce a new inner state and actually get comfortable in it, things start to shift naturally. That’s why body work hits different it changes the baseline, not just the thoughts. Curious—what’s one practice that helped you feel that shift?

@Bryce Braithwaite Here’s a clean, natural, and professional reply you can send as Isabelle: I love that deliberate breathing is powerful. It’s one of the simplest ways to reset your state in real time. For me, what’s helped most is a mix of breathwork and slowing things down enough to actually notice what’s going on in my body. Not trying to fix it immediately, just creating space first. That’s usually where the shift starts. Curious have you noticed any specific moments during the day where your breathing practice makes the biggest difference?
Maybe it’s not your life that’s stuck… it’s your inner state
I used to think change came from forcing new thoughts or fighting old habits. But I’m starting to see something different. The body and mind don’t just “obey” us they run on familiar states. And when those states don’t change, everything else keeps repeating. So instead of only trying to think differently, what if we learned to feel differently first? Even small shifts in how your body feels can slowly change what your mind believes is possible. I’m new here, but this idea has been on my mind—curious if anyone else has experienced this shift too?
Wounds on your soul?
I’m not so sure that the hidden wounds that people seem to talk about actually exist If we were to open up your body, would we actually find those wounds? What if you’re simply not feeling good and we can get you feeling better?

Interesting perspective. Sometimes we overcomplicate things maybe it’s not about “wounds,” but just not feeling good. And if that can change, everything else can too. What’s one simple thing that helps you feel better quickly?
Why do you have “urges”?
If your body can learn one thing- what feels better for it than your current tensions and habits with breathing Then it can learn another thing- how to relax and not cause the same tension in the first place And it only has an urge to feel better if it isn’t already feeling happy.

This makes a lot of sense. Urges often feel like something to fight, but seeing them as a signal that something in the body wants relief changes the whole approach. When you learn to actually feel better, not just distract yourself, the pull naturally loses strength. Curious what’s one simple way you’ve found to shift your state in the moment?
Why body work?
What seems to be holding our thoughts in place? It seems to be the body After getting tension out of my body in a deep way My thoughts about the past and who I was improved Not because I had somebody fill me with thoughts, but because they opened the way for me to consciously choose the ones I did want in my life

We often try to fix everything in the mind, but ignore how much the body is holding onto. When the tension shifts, the thinking naturally follows it’s like creating space instead of forcing change. Curious what kind of body work helped you feel that release?
