I'm so excited to start this new community and I hope I can bring you some valuable tips and tricks so you can make money doing something that you love. Introduce yourself and explain how you got started / interested in modding.
Hello! I'm Pedro, and ever since I was a kid I've always liked making new things and messing around with old things, be it music, writing, art and designing. I've also been pretty lucky to grow up with video games my whole life, from playing on my cousin's NES, to my own GBA and Gamecube, all the way up until now with my Switch! It was as I got older that I realized I was not the best at taking care of my things, consoles included often leading to them either malfunctioning, or just getting lost altogether 😓 Luckily, I had also gotten some maintenance and repair experience by then, so when I found that my Gamecube stopped reading discs, I decided to look up how to fix it on my own! After taking it apart and putting it back together, I've only gotten more and more curious as to how these things really function, which led me to start cleaning, modding and better preserving my devices (and also inadvertently amassing a small museum's worth of controllers lol) Since then, I've realized I'm really into coming up with new colorways and designs for consoles and controllers, though admittedly I might get carried away with aesthetics and style before focusing on logistics and feasibility 😅 I've really come to enjoy doing this, and am dipping my toes into the prospect of maybe doing this for a living, though nothing's set in stone. I'm grateful to Kenny for all his help and patience, and I would be glad to be of any help to anyone that needs it!
