Congrats @Andrew Kirby - big moves
How do you maximize your time?
I am launching several companies this year, and @Jordan Lee Mangan hit me with a great question. He asked: "What does your workflow look like?" This question made me take a step back, look at my life, and evaluate my time management. Time is the one finite thing we contend with each day. There is an overload of productivity people littering YouTube, and it is easy to go down a rabbit hole chasing the next great time management idea. I would be very interested in learning from this community what you are doing to manage your time in 2024.

Hot Take: “I am launching several companies this year” is your biggest mistake. Launching one company successfully has a fail rate of over 90%. You’re talking about several. That’s just not a good use of your time. Time management has less to do with it than most people think. Focus obsessively on specific goals and deliberately execute on them that move your business forward. This consistency will move the needle and give you a small chance of success. Launching companies is an insanely hard, unrewarding, debilitating process until the very, very end where you can reap the benefits thru an exit or compete delegation, which most people don’t actually reach. Instead they get buried with low value activities and eventually get burned out. So, forget about multiple companies. Focus on one thing. One “company”. One objective. Once you know what you need to do next, do it regardless of how much time it takes.

How I turn my entire days into habits loops
If anyone wants to take this exact plan and put it in their Google Calender that's fine by me and you will become hyper-productive. Let me share my Google Calendar and how I manage my daily schedule. I believe in setting specific rules for each section to maximize productivity and focus. For instance, during my focused work sessions, I ensure my phone is upstairs to minimize distractions. This simple rule has made a significant difference in my productivity. One crucial aspect of my planning is preparing for the next day's focused work blocks before going to bed. By having a clear plan of what I'll be working on, I can avoid wasting time pretending to work. Planning ahead allows me to jump right into the tasks without any unnecessary delays or decisions. To illustrate further, yesterday I dedicated an hour and a half to focused work in school-related tasks because I find it incredibly valuable. However, tomorrow, my focus might shift to a different area, and that's perfectly fine. The key is to adapt and allocate each block to a specific task or topic. If you leave a block labeled as 'workout,' you might end up spending 10 minutes deciding what exercise to do, and then you'll likely only half-heartedly complete it. To combat this, I recommend planning each workout session with a precise routine in mind. When you know exactly what you're doing in each block, you can fully commit and make the most out of your time. Of course, sometimes things happen that mean you have to change things but the point is you always know what you're doing and when these things outside of your control happen, you just get whatever it is done and get back to the schedule. For example, I see my friends sometimes as being social is incredibly important, I try and leave it for my day off but if there is some particular event or reason to see them on other days I'll weigh up whether it's worth attending or not and then write the day off. In summary, organizing my schedule with clear rules and specific plans for each block has significantly increased my productivity and effectiveness in managing my time. I encourage everyone to give this approach a try and see the positive impact it can have on your daily routine. I plan on staying on this schedule for at least a year. You can always change it as new things arise. A calenders not for life, it's not a dog haha.

Wins🏆
I've gained more subscribers in a week then I have done in 2 years.
In the past week, I've seen a surge in new subscribers that surpasses my total growth over the past two years. This sudden increase doesn't guarantee continuous explosive growth, but it underscores the immense impact a handful of compelling videos can have. It's the man mining for gold who turns back when it was just one more pickaxe away versus the pain who never stops. It serves as a reminder of the significance of ongoing self-improvement, even when immediate results are elusive. Eventually, your dedication will yield substantial leaps forward, just as I experienced. For an entire year, my subscriber count remained stagnant, but I persevered. Now, armed with this recent breakthrough, I'm determined to press on still and had it not happened, I would have continued anyway and if it doesn't happen again for another 2 years, I will continue, I will never stop, and this is how you take control of your life. Alex Hormozi says it best "pick one thing and get really really good at it and it's nearly impossible you will fail". - Sorry Hormozi I probably butchered that quote abit. Remember, success on this platform isn't a linear trajectory; it's an unpredictable and uneven voyage. Challenges will arise, but by remaining persistent, maintaining consistency, and continuously honing your skills, the eventual payoff is inevitable. I assure you, the hard work will be worth it in the end. Compound, compound, compound. It's the equation for anything you want in this world.

Strategy vs. Tactics and Brand vs. Marketing
Strategy vs. Tactics... In the online business and content creation world, I see endless discussions about tactics, but not much about strategy. e.g. So much info about sales funnels, VSLs, and youtube thumbnails (tactics), but little about crafting your mission, communicating and differentiating your positioning, and breaking down your audience to understand their behaviors/where they spend time/how they talk about their pain points to inform the tactics you choose (strategy). I see the need for it, but I'm wondering... are people here interested? Do you want to be more strategic with your brand and business or do you not care as long as you make money and grow subscribers? To illustrate what I mean, the graphic below outlines a standard marketing process. It's more detailed than most of us need, but it's representative of the steps a larger brand or marketing team takes. The supermajority of online biz content focuses on the last few steps (circled) with little coverage of the initial steps, which are foundational to making better choices down the line. Brand vs. Marketing... There's also lots of chatter about marketing but not brand building, even though marketing choices should be based on your brand strategy. People tend to use "brand" to reference a name, visual identity like logos, or the person/product, but those are just parts of the whole. Strategy is simply an approach or plan, so you can have a... - brand strategy (your personality, value, differentiators) - marketing strategy (your communication and messaging plan with platform choices) - execution strategy (the specific things you'll do for each platform) ... but they are different things. My brand/marketing experience comes from Fortune 500 brands, where millions to billions are invested into brand building and strategies before the tactics, so I'm curious if these ideas and this language also resonates with online entrepreneurs and content creators. If so... - What questions do you have?

I think there is value to your skill...just keep in mind there are a lot of people doing this already covering everything from building your personal brand to business brand. The challenge you are solving for is your unique path to tying that to ROI, especially if you ultimately plan to charge for a masterclass of sorts for this.
