Show up with gratitude 💪
I grew up without much, and I think that's helped me appreciate the little things in life. But tonight, I'm feeling particularly grateful for some rather ordinary things. The air fryer. 🍗 The dishwasher. 💧 The fridge. ❄️ The lights. 💡 Seriously, how blessed are we to live in a time where these things make everyday life so much easier? Things we barely think twice about are incredible gifts to us! It's a good reminder that gratitude isn't only about the big things in life. Sometimes it's about noticing the everyday things we've become so used to having. A little challenge: What ordinary thing are you particularly grateful for today? I'm giving the AIRFRYER some serious appreciation tonight. 😅 (you got to appreciate my kid singing/shouting in the background)

I am grateful for our Dishwasher....man...what a game changer. We bought our first dishwasher much later in life....if only we knew ♥️
Something hard every day 💪
A friend said something to me yesterday that stuck: "A man should do something hard every day." I've been thinking about that. Not because life needs to be miserable or we all need to start running 20km before breakfast. 😂 But there's something to this idea. I came across an interesting 2022 research paper called "Motivating Personal Growth by Seeking Discomfort" by Kaitlin Woolley and Ayelet Fishbach. The research found that when people were encouraged to embrace discomfort, they were more motivated to engage with challenges and persist through them. I love this thought: What if we stopped seeing discomfort as a reason to quit and started seeing it as an opportunity to grow? Maybe it's a difficult conversation, getting out of bed to exercise, or finally starting something you've been putting off. Today's challenge: Do ONE thing you've been avoiding because it's uncomfortable. What's yours? 💪

This really got me thinking Don, because I realised that “hard” has a different definition for each of us, depending on the season we are in. For me, one of the hardest daily things is living out my faith in a corporate workplace where there often isn’t much space for it. Work environments can be driven by worldly passions, values and desires, and being in a senior leadership position adds another layer of complexity. You are called to lead fairly and without bias, regardless of someone’s sexual preferences, religious beliefs or personal convictions. But this is exactly where God has placed me to grow. Starting a prayer group at work.Living out a visible Christian and disciple-making life. Being intentional about how I lead, speak and treat people. And hopefully having an impact on those around me—not by forcing my faith on others, but by living it authentically. Bloom where you have been planted. 🌱 There is a reason you are where you are. The wind will always blow. The question is not whether you will face resistance, but how you choose to lean into it. The hard place is exactly where God is growing you.
3 EASY BREAKFAST IDEAS TO START YOUR DAY RIGHT! 🍳
My wife and I have been looking more and more at what we eat.. and what we give our kids to eat. We have been working on our meal plans, and the thing is this for me .. it is fantastic to feel well when you eat well! So I thought I'd share some ideas.. I really do enjoy breakfast and here are my top 3 simple breakfast options (with protein 💪) : 🥣 1. Greek Yogurt + Granola Add some fresh fruit and you're good to go! 🍳 2. Eggs on Sourdough Simple, nutritious and packed with protein. 🐟 3. Sardines on Sourdough (my latest fav) A great source of protein and omega-3s. Add some lemon and black pepper! 👇 YOUR TURN! What's your go-to breakfast? And be honest… does coffee count as breakfast in your house?
