Broken promise
I gave my current girlfriend, a ring of engagement. She said yes, but after that, she went on to tell me a story of how she’s broken and that’s the reason why we haven’t had too much contact. Every man that she’s talked to. Has literally beat her ass and I’m like literally probably the biggest guy she’s ever talked to so she still kind of scared. I don’t want to give up on her. One of the kind I need help.

I hate to write this - it sounds like something else is going on. My initial thought is to say "ok, let's start over, I'll take the ring back and you can re-think if you to be part of my life" and move on. If she doesn't follow, you're better off without her.

Topic: Single Mothers (How To Have A Healthy Relationship With One)
Members please leave your perspective in a comment below. Instead of saying don't date them, first lets look at reality, people are and will date them, so the likelihood of relationships with one is inevitable in a lot of cases. All single mothers aren't bad. So let's provide advice, tips, and expectations for this type of dynamic in the comments below.

The best ones have a very serious and sober Christian world view and reject feminism and yearn for male leadership and are very submissive - these are very hard to find. They also realize that bringing kids is most likely a burden to a man and are eager to make concessions and find ways to make themselves useful in your life because of that. The ones that expect you to fill the role of a father (in every aspect, especially financial) - I think are only interested in financial help. The stories I hear from other men who were expected to be fathers to another man's kids never end well.

@Dennis Hurts Yes, I think most are really looking for financial help.

Well done. I really like your mention that women must make concessions. Makes a huge difference for them if they can significantly change their perspective and accept things like bigger age gaps (~20+ years), a modest lifestyle and a new arrangement like polygamy. Man of course needs to level up and be honorable. This may happen naturally if/as economy continues to deteriorate.
