🎨 The Secret Chemistry of a “Mojo” Book Cover
Have you ever noticed how some book covers grab you instantly… ? I just posted a blog post on the subject: https://pauleasther.com/%f0%9f%8e%a8-the-secret-chemistry-of-a-mojo-book-cover/
The Snobbery Scale in the Arts
I recently reached out to some respected literature sources asking for a review of a new book project. Of the four I contacted, three never replied, the 4th... "Too busy!" I've noticed over the years the children's book elite are just that, elitist. It prompted me to post a new blog post. Check it out here: https://pauleasther.com/blog-posts/

To be truthful Deb, I hate facebook and Meta. Managing facebook accounts is a "Nightmare on Elm Street". You could easily write a best selling novel about, "The Person Who Went Mad On Facebook". I've got random accounts some hacked and the same name as another account and for the Love of God, no way can I get rid of them.
Did Dragons Ever Really Breathe Fire?
Ever asked yourself the question? A popular subject in children's books. I've put together a post on my blog if anyone is interested! https://pauleasther.com/blog
BookFunnel
Anyone considering using BookFunnel out there for digital products? There's a few traps to be aware of? Let me know if you want some advice on what not to consider using them for.

Writing the Book vs. Building the Website: What Comes First?
Can anyone share their experience? 🙂 Did you write your book before creating your website, or create the website before writing the book? 🤔

I wrote several books first and then started on the website. It is a learning curve and can be done quite cheaply, compared to having someone build it for you. They require regular updates and it's easy to forget how to upload an image or whatever again. For instance its all about website fast loading and so images have to be webP file format. That means you have to learn photoshop or Affinity. By the time you add in all the social media posts and all their nuances, you basically spend as much time if not more on the tech side as the writing a book side. I just launched a new interactive activity pack. That was converting an existing book to a narrated video, plus building puzzles and quizzes to compliment it. I would say that has taken me 5 weeks at 6 hrs a day to accomplish. Do the math on hours spent versus probably near zero income? You have to do it for the challenge and love of it.
