Seaton Dropping Knowledge
@Aaron Seaton Appreciate the insight today. Takeaways: Fix the sales process. Build mission-driven systems. Stop treating money and impact like opposites. I want the money. I want to help people. Both are true.

The mission was a big one for me too. I thought about my sons and how much I want to do for them. Others won't be able to give that to their children if I don't share what I know that can help them.
Takeaway
Communication through profanity is both lazy and toxic. When Aaron said we have to stand guard with what comes into our mind and our mouth, I had something click. In writing, you can say something is really funny or you can say it's hilarious. I could drop the F-Bomb or I could articulate my frustration. One is more intentional, one is lazy. On the flip side, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions. When I drop an F-Bomb out of frustration it is a sign that there's frustration internally that is coming out of my mouth, almost like a junky car leaks fuel. Thanks for the reframe @Aaron Seaton
Handling Fear & Inner Criticism
Hey team, I think this is the best place to ask this. I’ve noticed I recently often experience paralyzing fear and emotional barriers stopping me from calling people. I can push beyond fear and do some calls but it feels as if it gets worse with every call (and those are really okay leads, nothing crazy). Usually it comes with a lot of inner judgment and doubts. If some of you have experienced that, do you have some tips&tricks or techniques you do? Maybe @Aaron Seaton, if you know some cool techniques.

I experience this often. Here's a list of things I like doing to change state/perspective. 1. Play your favorite songs/music. Music can shift you state due to how connected it is to certain emotions. I have a hard time being fearful listening to Levels because I associate that sound with fun and happiness. 2. Compared to what? I have a D-Day newspaper that my grandpa saved from WWII. Reaching out to people, getting over the fear and getting rejected sucks. But it's much better than getting shot at. 3. I remind myself that this is the best part of the story. You'll be on stage or on a podcast some day telling about the times you were so scared to start, but you stepped forward into fear anyone and went into the innermost cave (the part in the hero's journey where transformation happens). That's the most compelling part of someone's message. And your story will be what inspires someone else to push through. 4. Create an alter-ego. https://alteregoeffect.com/ The idea here is that Bruce Wayne is afraid of bats, but Batman is able to overcome it. Simply asking "What would (insert alter-ego) do" has helped me choose to act in alignment with that person vs. the version of me that's afraid. Hope this helps!
Breaking Down Sales Calls
@Aaron Seaton What are some frameworks you'd recommend for studying old sales calls that didn't close. If I'm going to sit down and watch a call with a note pad and then drill things. How would you go about it?
4 Beliefs
Another question I had is around marketing so I can get them to come onto the call with those beliefs already. I have a couple videos I'll have prospects watch prior to the call. Would you recommend weaving those 4 beliefs into a pre-call video? I could see something like "4 pitfalls to your success" where it calls out the why the beliefs below are holding them back: - It's not that bad - I need to do something drastic - I can do it myself - I can't workout, I have to spend time with the family @Aaron Seaton

@Aaron Seaton I've taken ~500 calls with my market so I have a good idea. I'll put the calls through Chat GPT to see if it can pull out anything I'm overlooking. Thanks!

Helping Star Wars nerds shed fat by creating an alter-ego with themed workouts so they can defeat their dark side and destroy the Dad Bod Empire.
