Never too Old to SKOOL!
One of my projects over the weekend was to explore different ways to welcome new members, and particularly to attract some of my aging peers (Think Jurassic Period 🦖 😉) into my community...and Back to SKOOL. Soooo...the community is partly about music, why not do a jingle of sorts. Take a listen. Lyrics by me, music/vocals are all AI:

@Lucas Otto This was fun to do...it will be interesting to see/hear the response from my friends (mostly older people) on Facebook when I covert this to something like a music video. So many have never heard of SKOOL!

Love the sentiment, Cristal, and definitely love your animated illustration!!
📸 Have you heard of SKOOL Picture Day?
Now you can get your professional headshots from the comfort of your own home. All you need is your phone and a stand to be hands-free. I guide and direct you through the poses and lighting, and I capture the images on my end. Sessions are 30 minutes or less, and your polished headshot is delivered the same day.

I watched what you did with Scot Soutter (sp?). I am in a similar position with the ceramic musical instruments that I make and could use some help...more like a 'miracle', LOL

@Cristal Vancarson What is the best way to connect? I'm nowhere near the Level 6 to do chat here.
Idea Dump!
Hello all! Just posted this in Skoolers, but also wanted to leave it here to get some response from a more goosy perspective 🤓 While I'm enjoying my breakfast an idea popped up, and I'm curious is anyone here had tried this and can share an experience. I'm starting to give workshops again irl, and during the covid times (remember?) I moved all my workshops online. Haven't done this since that whole thing blew over, but now I thought, is this something that could work for the Skool crowd? Anyone here who provides online workshops for their community members? And if you do, I would love to get some insight in how this works (or didn't) for you and your community! Are they payed or included in a Tier? Where do you give them (Skool/Zoom/teams)? Is it connected to any of your courses or something members can't find within the community content? Anything you're willing to share I'm excited to hear!

I have a IRL 2-day workshop scheduled for Fall 2026 and I hope to encourage those registered attendees to join my Skool community first, and maybe get a discount/gift/swag as an incentive. But I also plan to get images/video from the actual workshop to do an online version here once the real live workshop is over. Going beyond that, some of the material from the face-to-face material might be used in a Zoom session mini-workshop, perhaps a one-time fee. Whatcha think, Skoolers?

@Joan Raymond The local connection events are something I have considered...but I need to take off my higher-ed hat and put on something more like the cat-in-the-hat for short entertaining/informational sessions.😉

The extra interior volume in the back is a real 'plus'...I'd be checking on what the full exterior height would be after a deck, hvac, satellite equipment, storage rack, wings, etc. would be. There is such a thing as maximum heights for state/local bridges and filling station covers that needs to be considered...trust me. I know what the sound of a crunching gas pump awning sounds like 😯
