What do legislators need to realise about AI?
Hey everyone. I've been approached by a group of local law makers here in NZ, looking at putting on an event around AI and the impacts it can have on creative and core industries as part of a process on what regulations are needed at a governmental level on the area. They're keen to get a better understanding of how it can be used and to learn what some of the common misconceptions behind it are. I'd love any advice or suggestions you might have from your own experience of seeing law makers running to catch up with technological changes, or any pitfalls you think they should avoid.

Trend spotting in the field of data
With Tropical Cyclone Alfred baring down on Brisbane, we managed to get half an hour with @Julien Redmond to talk about the trends he noticed in the field of Data management after a recent tour of northern hemisphere organisations working in the field. And at the end we discuss the next DXE Meet up - in Melbourne, Australia!
