Do You Need Money Before You Can Buy a Business?
Do you need money before you can buy a business? Most people assume they need all the purchase money first—but the better place to start is learning how to recognise a business worth funding. In today’s walk and talk, I discuss cash flow, owner dependence and why buying the wrong company could simply mean buying yourself another job. Watch today’s video: https://youtu.be/3oYXSGMFBiA What do you believe is the biggest barrier stopping people from buying a business—the money, finding the right opportunity or knowing where to begin? 3 Signs a Business Will Give You Freedom—Not Another Job
Buying a business should give you more freedom—not trap you in another full-time job. In today’s Daily Boardroom Chat, I share three signs to look for before buying: • The business can operate without the owner doing everything • It has reliable systems, people and recurring income • It generates enough cash to support management and growth A profitable business can still be the wrong acquisition if it depends entirely on you. Watch the video and tell me: would the business you’re considering give you freedom—or another job? New here? Visit the Classroom and download your free Boardroom Guide to Buying Your First Company. What Are You Actually Buying a Business For?
Most people say they want more money. But what they really want is more control over their time, more choices and the freedom to decide how they live. That was the subject of today’s walk. Buying or building a business isn’t the final destination. It’s a vehicle that could help create the lifestyle you actually want. Watch the video and then answer this: What would genuine freedom look like for you?

Is Mowing the Lawn a Waste of Time?
Many businesspeople would say spending three hours mowing the lawn is a waste of valuable time. I disagree. That time gave me the space to think about business, freedom and the lifestyle I actually want to create. In this video, I discuss our experiences travelling through Europe and Southeast Asia, why retirement without purpose left me bored, and why I’m now building a group by acquiring businesses rather than starting everything from scratch. We’re going to test whether an ordinary person can acquire a £500,000 or £1 million company with little or none of their own money—without creating another job that consumes their entire life. What does freedom look like to you?
