Welcome! Introduce yourself + share a pic of your favourite snare 🥁
Let's get to know each other! Comment below sharing where you are in the world, a photo of your favourite snare drum, and something you like to do for fun. 😊 I'll go first - I live in Melbourne Australia, my favourite snare is the Gretsch 2mm Copper 14x5 (with Kentville Kangaroo Head) and I love long-distance running 🏃‍♂️

The Brushes - Les ballais
Hello, A few days ago, I ordered a pair of brushes (white) because I couldn't find the ones I had. And a few days later... enlightenment... they were in a moving box... Anyway, that's not important, but what I would like to know is the difference between these two models. The black ones are signed by Steve Gadd (if I can make out what's left of the inscription) and they are curved at the ends. Are there different techniques for different brushes? I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello, I bought your three books and am starting to work on them. I will pay close attention... In September, I also enrolled in the Jazz Academy. My teacher and I will be covering brush techniques in a few weeks. I will also have to take this teaching into account, so it will be interesting to compare. With your permission, I will show him your books, otherwise I will refrain ;-)
Train Track Patterns
Spending some time with the fundamentals. Still feels a bit clunky. Definitely need to put in more time and reps. It’s a start, though. Not the greatest angle to assess my technique, but it’s the best I can do with the equipment I have for now.

Thank you for clarifying that, because I was also a little apprehensive about the change in handling.

How to move up levels?
Hey friends, a few of you have asked me how to move up levels. As you may have noticed, you all start on level 1 and you have limited access to some of the courses on the Classroom tab. The only way you earn points is when other members like your posts or comments. 1 like = 1 point. Higher level = more access. It is setup this way to encourage engagement and build the overall positive vibe that I wish for this group. Want to know a quick way to get more likes? Comment on other members' comments in any post (or below) and the likes will start rolling in.
