Just hit 1500 on Chess.com! 🏁 Now the real challenge begins: holding on to it.

Played 3 games with the lock in protocol today. In the first I punished a poor opponent, in the second I lost to an unfamiliar opening, and in the third I played at an 850 elo level (i am 600 elo) and found 5 great moves and managed to run down my enemies clock and force checkmate.

This is GOOD NEWS for everyone here because Joey has the time & energy to make this community better and give everyone here a better experience! I can’t speak for Joey, but he will most likely look to reduce the amount of spam in here and refocus the community to talking about chess. Which seems fairly logical for a chess community. TL;DR: Joey’s here to improve the experience & keep making things better for everyone. Why aren’t you going to be the owner anymore? Joey has the time and energy to keep building Top Chess, while I simply did not. That’s why I was looking for someone like Joey to take over & run things. Frankly, I'm not really active on Top Chess Gang anyways… honestly, anyone with a pulse could probably contribute more to the community than I have.
