TRT Clinic Recommendations Open to Higher Optimal Ranges
Hey everyone, I'm a 66-year-old male living in East Texas, currently in pretty good shape and on testosterone replacement therapy. I recently watched a video by Dr. Vincent where he recommended optimizing total testosterone to an average above 1,500 ng/dL, or even dosing up to 2,000 ng/dL. I’ve never heard of providers targeting levels that high. In fact, my current doctors get concerned whenever my bloodwork comes back around 1,200 ng/dL and tell me it's too much. Unsurprisingly, no local provider I know will prescribe a protocol to reach those higher numbers. Does anyone have recommendations for telemedicine clinics or specific providers who are well-versed in advanced hormone optimization and open to managing protocols in these higher ranges? Thanks in advance. Are you experiencing any specific side effects at your current 1,200 ng/dL level, or are you primarily looking to adjust your protocol based on the video's recommendations?

Hey Kelly, no clinic will abide by this unfortunately. They take a cookie cutter approach. It is best to source the testosterone via online sources (many can be found with a quick Google search). Vet those sources with anecdotal feedback and order in bulk. Get above 2000 ng/dl, control your E1 & E2, eat healthy(ish), 10k-15k steps and being 66, monitor DHT. These can all be controlled by ancillaries such as Anastrozole, Finasteride and/or Dutasteride. Stay away from the fear mongers on these drugs. It's science. If your DHT, Total Test, E1 & E2 are in range, then you're off to the races. Your best bet is to book a consultation with Dr. Vincent, learn as much as you can from him and apply that to your own treatment.
