It's fun to re-imagine an already made garment into something else. The 'dragon' was supposed to be a vampire, but I am not crazy about those, so I re-imagined him as a dragon and I think he turned out great. I still haven't decided what to make him shoes from. Burlap, maybe, what do you think?

'OLD' fogy seamstress! šŸ˜‰
Hi! I'm called 'patkeymouse'! , and YES! Sing it to the Mickey Mouse Club theme music. (telling my age here! HA! HA!). I LOVE to s e w. Made doll clothes from a very young age. Made my first ME piece of clothing at age 10, on my Grandmother's treadle sewing machine....BOY have we come a LONG way?! It was a Navy blue print, cotton shift. I put the zipper in crooked and she told me to take it out. Stubborn me refused! BUT, I DID learn to understand that correcting my mistakes shows the difference between home-made and hand-made. She later told me that I had became a much better sewer than she ever was. BUT, something I was ALWAYS envious of was SHE could lay another garment out and cut a pattern by it. I've always thought I needed that 'crutch' (being a pattern). Hope I can learn to do that here. Wish me LUCK!

No. I made Barbie clothes. I would lay the dolls down on the fabric and cut out whatever I was aiming for. I even HEMMED them! 🤣🤣. Sewed on snaps, buttons, ties. I DID use a Simplicity pattern back when I was a teen and made several Holly Hobbie dolls. Their head was a sock, but their bodies were cotton fabric. The shoes were made from felt. My GrandPa bragged on them so much!, I made him one! He showed it to EVERYBODY. When he passed away and they were distributing things from their house, we found that doll and I got it back.
