šŸ‘‹ Introduce Yourself — Tell Us Your Story!
We want to know who you are! One of the best parts of this community is the incredible group of thought leaders inside it — and that means you. Take a few minutes to introduce yourself so we can cheer you on, connect with you, and support your journey. Copy and paste the prompts below and fill them in: šŸ™‹ My name is: šŸ“ I'm based in: šŸ’¼ What I do professionally: šŸŽÆ Who I serve: šŸ“– My book idea or working title is: āœļø My current level in this community is: šŸš€ My biggest goal for my book is: šŸ¤” My biggest challenge or fear about publishing is: 🌟 One thing people would be surprised to know about me: There are no wrong answers — whether your book is a fully formed concept or just a feeling that you have something important to say, you belong here, and we want to hear from you. Drop your introduction below, and don't forget to welcome others when they post theirs. A simple comment goes a long way in making someone feel like they've found their people. šŸ’¬ We can't wait to meet you. šŸ“– Lynn PS Already introduced yourself? Go back and give a warm welcome to someone who posted after you. That's the kind of community we're building here.

May 14th at 8am: Live! The Author's Brew Coffee Chat
Have questions about writing or publishing your book? On our last chat, one of our members found out that her publisher controlled her KDP account - but they never told her! This is one of the reasons that I recommend self-publishing your first book. https://www.skool.com/live/Vrv9BLCFpp8

šŸ‘‹ Welcome to Self Publishing for Leaders — Start Here First!
You're in the right place. Publishing a book as a thought leader is one of the most powerful things you can do for your business and your legacy. It positions you as the authority in your space, opens doors to speaking engagements, media features, and high-value clients, and creates something that outlasts any single conversation or social media post. Whether your book has been living in your head for years or you're just beginning to put the pieces together, this community was built for you. Self Publishing for Leaders exists for one reason: to help thought leaders like you stop saying 'someday' and start saying 'published'. This is a community space for professionals, coaches, consultants, speakers, and experts who are ready to share their knowledge with the world through a book — and use that book to build authority, attract clients, and leave a lasting legacy. Here's How it Works: Step 1: Introduce Yourself. Head over to the Introduce Yourself post and tell us who you are, what you do, and what your book is about - or what you want it to be about. Take a picture of yourself at your workspace, with your book or your favorite book (pets at workspaces are also welcome!) Don't be shy: this community is judgment-free. Step 2: Check the Calendar at the top of our community and make sure to add our two FREE community engagements: Group Coaching Workshops on the third Tuesday of the month and our Coffee Chats on the second Thursdays of the month. There's a convenient calendar download for each event! Come to as many as you like, and make sure to invite a friend! Step 3: Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! Step 4: Explore the Categories. Browse the community categories to find the conversations most relevant to your current journey stage. Jump in, ask questions, and share what you know.

This is great!
Introduction
My name is Joanna, and I have been in college for 3 years studying psychology. This has been the biggest challenge of my life because I did not attended school growing up. As an adult I went to several technical training schools which I feel is different because that was hands on learning. The Academic world is highly complicated for me but I have never let adversity dictate my direction.

Welcome Joanna and I admire your courage and perseverance.
How do you define leadership, and how does your book reflect that definition?
Tell us what leadership means to you and how your book brings that to life.

The definition of leadership I used in my practice is: Leadership is a state of mind, not a set of behaviors to learn or master, nor a position to exercise the power of your ego. The goal of the leadership program was therefore to coach leaders to lead neutrally: non-reaction and non-judgmentally. Not meaning that they do not have emotions but rather that they become so grounded in their own power and authority granted them by their creator that they behave in ways consistent with that. Examples of current leaders who exemplify that today are Barack Obama and Pope leo.

Oh, I forgot to mention that my book brings that to life using principles and examples from my consulting.
