This tinnitus story hit closer than I expected...
I came across a tinnitus story today from a 16-year-old, published by the American Tinnitus Association. And even though she’s much younger than most of us, I found parts of her experience very familiar. Especially this part: 👉 the moment when it hits you that the sound might not go away 👉 the fixation 👉 the feeling of loss Those are things I hear from people of all ages. What I liked about her story is not that it’s “perfect” or that it gives all the answers… But that it shows something important: 👉 people can go from a very dark place… to re-engaging with life again If you read it, don’t compare your situation to hers. Just see if any part of it resonates with your own experience. One important thing I would add from my own experience is that the middle part of the journey is where most people get stuck — and that’s where the right tools really matter. 📔 Here’s the story if you’d like to read it: https://www.ata.org/about-tinnitus/understanding-the-journeys-personal-stories-of-managing-tinnitus/cindys-journey/
