Hiring part time short form editor
Hey guys! I need an editor to join my team. I'm managing the social media of a sales coach (โ‰ˆ5,000 followers on IG) & I need someone to take some work off my hands. This is a very straightforward editor position - you don't need to be super creative, know fancy motion graphic designs or anything like that. Here is the layout: 1. The sales coach takes on daily sales calls, every day he'll supply us with raw sales call footage that you will clip. 2. You get a raw 30 min to 1 hour sales call recording that you need to turn into 1-2 educational/entertaining reel(s) depending on the context. Most likely 1-3 raw sales call recordings/day 3. I will send you a loom video going over a checklist of what to do to make sure you've done a good reel & a recording of my whole workflow from raw sales call to a reel that performs. Obvious requirements are that you understand retention, meaning you edit with the end goal in mind to keep viewers' attention in every frame, you don't leave dead spaces, you can put yourself in the shoes of a viewer who sees your work for the first time ever. Here's the catch -> I need someone who understands remote sales in general & this game is not completely alien to you. When you are going through the raw sales calls, you need to catch the interesting parts & piece them together into a 45 sec - 2 min video, this is where your creative affinity comes into place - not by making a wild edit, but by understanding human communication. I will also help you out with the whole process of finding the interesting parts and how to go about it, so don't you fear my friend :) In my experience, once you get the hang of it you watch the videos on 1.5x - 1.75x & catch the best parts pretty quickly. Alright, let's talk about your time commitment: You receive between 1 to 3 hours of raw footage/day & you turn that into 1-6 reels, depending on the calls. From my experience, most of the times you'll get 1 reel per raw video. 1 reel takes roughly 1 hour to make. So that's 1-3 hours/day average.
