Favorite Divination
There are hundreds of different types of divination and some have been around for thousands of years. Cartomancy - use of cards Tasseomancy - tea leaves or coffee grounds Bibliomancy - books Iridology - eye color Numerology - numbers Weather Horoscopes Astrology Dice Scrying - mirrors, water, smoke, flames Palmistry Pendulums Theriomancy - animal behaviour This is just a very short list. What is your favorite type of divination? Is there one you find particularly interesting? Are there any you find odd?

@Donna Conrad I've never done study in formal augury, to be clear. I just have a practice of tuning into the more-than-human world when I am out doing workings and feel I sometimes hear messages from my guides in the world around me when I am tuned in. This is primarily via the birds, tho I have experienced it in other creatures as well. With regards to osteomancy, I have followed the work of Lupa Greenwolf for some time and she introduced me to the concept of sacred remains.

@Ashley Jasper Styles Good questions. I experience cards to primarily provide a means to tap into my own intuition. I have had a few experiences where I communicated with my guides or other non-human entities, but that isn't common. I am interested in exploring ancestral connection through cards, though I haven't really begun exploring that yet. My experience with scrying and theiromancy feels to be coming much more from outside of myself in the form of guides and guardians, though I suppose it all depends on how you feel about nondualism. 😉

Thanks for sharing, @Ashley Jasper Styles ! I have heard of these, but never considered parsing them out like this. It definitely helps the explanation!
Types of Magic
Yesterday @Ashley Jasper Styles shared a great post on Types of Magic that had a lot of good information. Thank you Ashley. So I wanted to go further into that topic. While there are 2 distinct main types of magic; HIgh Magic and Low Magic, as shown in Ashley's post there are many different practices/methods within those two. So lets discuss: What types of magic are your go to and why? What types have you tried and how was the result? What types do you know about and want to try? What types have you always wanted to learn about?

Based on what @Ashley Jasper Styles shared yesterday, I would say I weave elements of natural, sigil, folk, and some sympathetic practices together, though I wouldn't have thought characterized those as separate before yesterday. I'll admit, I'm intrigued by chaos magic and goetic work, but don't feel like I have the chops for those. Lol. Curious if anyone know anything about Quareia and Josephine McCarthy's work. I came across her oracle decks a few months back and working with them has piqued my interest. I have watched some YouTube conversations with her and she seems quite knowledgeable, well rounded, and grounded. Opinions online are a bit mixed from what I've seen, however.
