Is there anything illegal to 3D print?
There are practically no restrictions for what you can print for others as a service or to sell, as long as it doesn't break any laws locally, such as 3D printed guns. You have to be aware of copyright if you are printing someone else's design.

Very true! That brings up good questions about what laws on reselling, remixing, and ownership over those. Local laws in underdeveloped markets will always be a difficult thing for designs to navigate.
How to monetize a product?
Hi everyone, let's say I have a great product (in my opinion) that is targeted at a specific group of people. It's the type of product that you can live without, but makes your equipment usage at work more efficient. If you have 1 piece, you don't really the need the 2nd one unless you brake it or lose it. I don't own a small business yet but I'm going in that direction and every bit of advice and help is welcomed. I'm just a guy who likes 3D modeling, 3D printing and everything else related to mechanical engineering. Because of that, people in my environment know that I like to make things and I was asked by one of them could I make something useful for him, which will reduce the daily costs of material at his job. The response for the first few pieces was excellent, and that is why I need someone with more experience to explain to me how can I monetize my product? Thanks in advance.

I would raise it for your main customer as well. If they like your product and it meets the description, they will be happy to pay for it.

Thanks Lazar for your questions! Please let me know how it goes and keep me updated. I would love to hear what you find out.
How much does it cost to print a 3D Object?
Our 3D printing service typically charges based off the models volume, surface area, and bounding box. We don't factor in the grams of material as a variable. These measurements are put into a formula that spits out a price based on which process and material is select. This makes generating a quote very quick and easy for the most part. From Ankermake's website, they say the cost per gram of 3D printing can vary greatly depending on several factors, such as the type of 3D printer, the material used, the brand of material, and the supplier. On average, filament-based 3D printing materials like PLA cost between $0.02 and $0.10 per gram.

SLS for manufacturing
How would you compare using SLS machines for manufacturing purchases versus resin or filament based processes? Also, I'm a college student with a podcast centered around 3d printing, and I was wondering if I would be able to interview either you or an employee about using your SLS printers. Thank you!

SLS is definitely the higher quality process in most cases. Not all, filament when it comes to large parts can beat out SLS with proper postprocessing and resin's accuracy is ideal for certain medical or dental applications. But in most other cases, SLS provides the better part quality, strength and consistency for production.

Yes, I think it's a good way to get started in the space. With proper systems for getting prints done you'll have good useable parts for testing.
