Calisthenics Tip Day 22
There are 3 ways to spend your time: 1. Productively 2. Negatively 3. Experimentaly Productive is working out, working Negative is scrolling, addictions But experimental is different, it is: - Meeting people, cold apporaching - Talking genuinely (not wasting time) with friends/family - Going for adventures in your city these are unmeasurable. They're so much more important than you realize because you need this spikes of talking to new people, being nervous, being happy then sad This is all about actually having a life outside of working out and "educational fitness" videos. How does this help you in working out? You implement working out to your identity, tell people about it, help people etc You find other interesting experiences making the gym new again and not the ONLY place you go How do you implement this? - Schedule an adventure/date/hangout every 2 weeks MINIMUM, you can also do this solo. Go for a bike ride somewhere you haven't been in your city, or go out with someone new who seems interesting. Or literally go do the most average thing solo but make it as adventerous as possible - Do it with the goal of socializing with as many people as possible. Talk to people but be genuinely interested while meeting tons of new people and getting connections - Literally have fun without the drugs/partying but just be in the moment, feel the different emotions, think about how that person's speaking, why they do it that way I made this "overoptimization" mistake thinking I was working on myself, and so I made this post to help out that younger, less experienced version of myself -Orfeas Onasis
Calisthenics Tip Day 21✅
To everyone wanting to learn skills📢 Almost everyone doing calisthenics wants to achieve some goal But there are important steps to keep in mind, otherwise you'll end up repeating mistakes without realizing How to achieve your skills as fast as possible 1. Find your goals🎯 If it's an easy skills like the handstand, L sit etc you can start training for that right now. These are mostly learning the skill/balance etc instead of actually building strength and having a training block for them specifically Do train specifically for your goals, but 2. Train skills only if you're strong enough for them💪 Training for planche if you can't do a handstand push up, training for front lever if you can't muscle up etc. And you say "I can just train both at the same time". You're progress will be a lot slower, focus on getting at least pretty good at the easier skill before advancing to the harder one. (Train 1 Pushing 1 Pulling skill) 3. Build your base🌲 This is technically "optional" but I think it's mandatory. Get to AT LEAST 40-50% of your bodyweight on weighted dips for reps and 30% of your bodyweight on weighted pull ups for reps. I call this building your tree (base). This allows many branches to grow (opportunities for skills and strength) and so allows for many leaves to flourish You can train for front lever immediately once you reach 10 pull ups whatever, but your strength will be so specific to front lever, making you weak in other exercises. This is like building a thin base, 1 branch, with 1 or 2 leaves. 4. Skills + Weighted🏋️‍♀️ Once you can add 10-20% of your bodyweight on weighted dip/pull ups, then decide how much of your training you want to be skills depending on your priorities. Right now you're somewhat strong, so you can dedicate a block of training (3-6 weeks) for 60-80% skills in order to achieve those skills and later decide what you want to do Make sure you train specifically for the skills youre after e.g. train explosive pull ups, explosive weighted pull ups for muscle ups, instead of the slow bodybuilding technique

Calisthenics Tip Day 20 🏆
"The bigger the goal, that is the dragon, thus the harder it is. The more difficult the mission and so the stronger the dragon slayer is, which is you". Do these difficult things, the more difficult it is the better, this is the story you will tell one day. 99% of people I see in the gym train to mild discomfort, be that guy who trains hard, maybe not on all sets, but on most of them Information is everywhere, and most people know what they have to do Do this right now: Have an attention span and turn of your phone right now and do what your procrastinating on

Calisthenics Tip Day 19🧬
"Damn, that guy's genetics are so good" That's what you think Yet you're training is all over the place Or that person's genetics are genuinely very good But you should be grateful for your genetics, especially if they're bad (which you don't even know if they're bad yet) You should be grateful for your bad genetics because they make you more hungry for progress, and YOU will be the one who sticks around My genetics aren't good, but that isn't an excuse I dip 60KG, Pull up 40KG, and learnt the HSPU in 3 days; with just 1 year of consistent training at 15yo But bro I've sacrificed so so much more than you've ever thought possible Plan out your program, goals, take a bit of time to think about it then sprint towards it, brainlessly. Not in the way in which you don't deload if you're plateauing but in the way in which you don't change every single exercise before seeing progress. Stick to your plan for at least 2 months, literally any plan will get you to your goals as long as its specific to them Alex Hormozi: "Do so much work that it's unreasonable — you win." Do so much work, and do it so smart

Calisthenics Tip Day 18 ❗
You're doing too much 95% of people reading this are "overoptimizing" their training to the point of getting less gains You either realize this, or you don't But you are watching too many of those fitness videos or whatever you train for specifically But what you don't realize is: This is the instant gratification of working out Pushing to failure on 50%+ of your sets is also instant gratification Go have a life outside of the gym - Talk to people you find interesting, no guide will teach you how except trying - Learn to build deeper connections, genuinely listen to people while saying your honest opinion to filter out the "friends" Build proof every day of who you are, when you're doing the next hard thing, you have your proof But build it every single day Going on your phone first thing makes you lazy because you've made today's identity/proof I went on my phone vs you started today of with a calming walk you build that proof to continue today with the same intention You already know what to do, Just Do The Work -Orfeas Onasis
