@Endri Dano I think if I want to implement the same feeling with a photo of someone praying it wouldn't be as emotional as this but i will give it a shot .. i can't really imagine how the slow shutter would be applied

Thank you all for your amazing photos, I learn a lot from you and thanks to @Emanuel Schi for his helpful feedbacks, I still don't believe i have a certain style thošŸ˜‚
Assignment #10: The Unintended Barrier
To be honest, I didn't go out with a deep concept in mind. I was just out shooting, playing with my camera and experimenting with the settings. It wasn't until I got home and started the editing process that this shot jumped out at me. Looking at it after the fact, I realized it’s a perfect example of how we actually live right now. There’s this invisible wall between us and the real world because of our phones. I didn't plan to capture 'digital addiction,' but the camera caught what I didn't see in the moment: a person completely removed from a world that is literally blurring past them. The Focus: Since the assignment is about making an image work without color, I focused on how the lack of detail actually tells the story better: - The Silhouette: I kept the subject almost entirely black. Without seeing his face or clothes, he becomes a symbol for anyone lost in a screen. - The Rim Light: The only thing separating him from the dark is that sliver of light on his profile. It acts like a literal border between him and the street. - Shutter Speed (1/8 sec): Since I was just playing with settings, the slow shutter ended up being the secret sauce. It turned the real world into a ghostly blur, making the subject look like he's standing in a different dimension than the people behind him. Technical Details: - Settings: 35mm | $f/1.8$ | 1/8 sec | ISO 200 - Edit: I just bumped the exposure by +0.88 stops and turned it into a B&W photo.

@Wittawat Sadindum I don't even know what it meansšŸ˜‚
Assignment #9: Dust and Wire
For this one, I really wanted to capture the feeling of quiet endurance. I pushed the edit towards this heavy, gritty yellow tone because it instantly reminds me of the thick heat and dust of the city streets. Usually, yellow is a bright, happy color, but I wanted this to feel the exact opposite—heavy and environmental. I feel like it perfectly matches the vibe of the cat just sitting there patiently behind the wire, surviving the day. Let me know what you guys think!

@Emil Mavrofidis Thanks for your great feedback, It's my first time trying this theme but thanks for letting me know how it would look if it would be submitted in a competition
Can't we take photos just for the sake of taking a photo?
I wanted to share two things today—one part philosophy, one part personal victory. 1. The "Meaning" Trap I’ve been wrestling with a question: Can’t we just take photos for the sake of taking them? Today, I tried to wait for a deep meaning or specific emotion before hitting the shutter. If I had stuck to that rule, I would have taken zero photos. I’m starting to think that maybe meaning isn’t something you bring to the moment, but something you find later in the edit. Is the pressure to be "profound" killing the joy of just seeing? 2. A Personal Milestone This is my first time doing street photography in months, my first time going out solo, and—most importantly—my first time approaching a stranger for a portrait (the last photo). I’m incredibly grateful for this community. You all pushed me to get back on track, and honestly, it feels great to be behind the lens again.
