A few months ago I stepped out of my comfort zone and started creating content on faith, finance and cyber safety. I just realized I had hit 1,000 followers on Instagram and I shared a little gratitude post about it. It's so funny how we forget to celebrate our small wins while we wait for the big ones, forgetting that gratitude is what brings multiplication and that every big thing started small. Hi everyone, I’m Itunu a mom of two teenagers based in Ottawa, Ontario. I am a beginner and will be using my channel to share stories, spotlight the wins of immigrants in the community and inspire the audience. In the last one year I have taken multiple classes to grow my public speaking skills - Now I’m ready to take it to the next level. I am new to content creation and decided to join this group to learn from the best and to stay accountable. I currently have two Instagram accounts: • Account 1: Over 3,000 followers (main/personal page) • Account 2: Under 200 followers (new content-focused page) I created the second page because I realized my friends and family on my main page don’t really support my content, no likes, comments, shares, or engagement, but when they meet me they pass funny comment which shows that they actually saw the content. So here’s my dilemma: Should I continue building my smaller page where the audience is fresh, supportive, and genuinely interested in my content? OR Should I take advantage of the 3,000+ followers on my main account, even if that audience doesn’t really engage, since the numbers are higher and I might be able to attract my target audience over time? I’d love to hear your thoughts, especially from people who’ve had to choose between starting fresh vs. working with a silent audience. What would you do if you were in my shoes? Any advice would mean a lot ❤️
