Wednesday Poll: The perfect evening vibe
How do people cope when they are at work and around people?
I’m really worried about quitting vaping after reading what people say on when they have tried to stop or quit completely and the side effects. I am trying to find a weekend where I have nothing on as I don’t want to be around people as I’m worried what I will be like. I smoke 0.6mg and now started no nicotine vape juice but even that has made me feel anxious. How do people cope when they are at work and around people? Or even when they have a weekend full of plans because the side effects don’t sound good

Hey! First off, take a deep breath. It is completely normal to feel worried about this, but try not to let other people’s horror stories freak you out. Everyone’s journey is different and you might actually surprise yourself. Since you are already using no nicotine juice, you have already broken a huge part of the chemical addiction. A lot of that anxiety you are feeling right now is just the mental fear of letting go of the habit. When it comes to coping at work and around people, here is how a lot of us get through it: - Change your break routine: You can still take your work breaks. Walk outside, grab a cold glass of water, or take a quick lap around the building. You just do not need the vape to do it. - Keep your hands and mouth busy: Keep mints, hard candy, or a water bottle with a straw at your desk. When the urge hits at work or during a busy weekend, reach for those instead. - Embrace the busy weekend: Having plans can actually be a blessing because it keeps your mind occupied. If you stay home with nothing to do, you will just sit there thinking about vaping. Do not let the fear of side effects stop you before you even start. You are stronger than you think and we are all right here with you.
Tip Tuesday: Surviving the family gathering trigger
We need to talk about one of the biggest, sneakiest traps on this journey: family gatherings and holidays. We love our families, but let's be real. Between the chaos, the family drama, or just the old routine of sneaking outside to the porch for a smoke break, these events are a total minefield for cravings. If you have a gathering coming up, you can't just wing it. Here is your quick Tip Tuesday game plan: - Swap your escape route: When you need a breather from the noise, don’t go to your old smoking spot. Slip into a quiet room for a minute, check your phone, or offer to run a quick errand to grab extra ice. - Stick with the non-smokers: Grab a drink and lock into a conversation with the relatives who don't smoke so your hands and mind stay busy. - Remember the real trigger: That sudden urge usually isn't about nicotine. It's just your brain begging for a quick emotional escape from the crowd. Give yourself that break with a fast walk or some deep breaths instead. What is your biggest trigger when the whole family gets together?
Monday Reset: Becoming a happy non-smoker
Happy Monday! Let’s be real for a second. When a crazy craving hits you over the head today, your brain isn't actually begging for nicotine. It is begging for a fast emotional escape like comfort, a breather, or just a hard reset. The secret to quitting without wanting to rip your hair out? Stop trying to muscle through it with raw willpower. Instead, we have to trick our brains by replacing that old smoke break with a healthy habit that actually brings a little joy. This awesome TEDx talk by Nasia Davos breaks down exactly how to rewire those mental loops so you can finally stop white knuckling your way through the week and actually enjoy being a non-smoker.
