Fast drying and easy to work with? No smell at all, or maybe an amazing scent? The color before development looks incredible? It’s long lasting on the skin? Easy to remove from hands, brushes or clothes? Great price point, or simply reliable results? Anything And also who do you use it for? 👰 Brides? 📸 Photoshoot tans? 💪 Competition/bodybuilder tans? 👱‍♀️ Young girls looking for a glow? 👩‍🦳 Mature skin clients? 🌿 Sensitive or dry skin? No rules here just share what works for YOU! 🙌 Your answers might help someone else discover their next holy grail. All of us have different clientele, different climate, different acces to solutions.. there is no bad answer.. Jump into the comments 👇 let’s chat, inspire each other, and grow together as an industry 🧡 Did you ever experience a situation where you hated a solution after the first spray, but after the second test you totally changed your mind? Or the opposite situation you loved it at first, but after trying it again you were like “hmm… maybe not” 😅
I carry Sienna x in red and olive undertones, Tint Tan, Moroccan Tan (Elevate and Accelerated) Norvell (Venetian) My personal current favourite is the Moroccan Tan - I don't carry all options, just the 2 mentioned above. Accelerated is 16% DHA - Great for an intense dark tan. It's a blended base formumla and gives a deep bronzed hue - I've had great results on all skin tones. Some of my clients (who have always been big Sienna x fans) have converted to this solution. It's also great for dry, mature or sensitive skin. I have found it to be a brilliant option for brides. Elevate - I use this one more on lighter skin. Both options have nourishing ingredients and give great results I find. Delivery is always super prompt, though they have been updating their website recently. Norvell Venetian Plus - this was a personal favourite but then the Moroccan Tan took the No.1 spot. :-) I still love it with it's cool brown and violet undertones, it's a great solution and I have clients who love it. Find it hard to get the stock in though at times. Sienna X - I have a lot of people who love the Sienna range, find it long lasting, good fade and the different gradients (6%-16%) in the red undertone is great. Since they've introduced the Olive solution, it's given more variety as the red isn't for everyone! Customer service is excellent and orders alway arrive promptly. I also really like the pre/post tan retail products - shower gel and body lotion are great! I find the tan smell can really linger after rinse for a few days though. Tint Tan - Dries quickly, smells lovely, nice ingredients but have had inconsistent results. Have tried on my Sienna X Olive fans and they've all reverted back. Would love to know if others have used it and what your opinions are? Always looking to try different solutions and love experimenting with mixing too.
Review: Kissed by Mii – Seriously Smoothing Exfoliating Wipes
When you work in tanning, you learn that the small things make the biggest difference to the final result. Exfoliating wipes are one of those often-overlooked tools that can completely change how evenly a tan develops especially when clients arrive with stubborn product build-up or patchy areas they simply can’t reach. Recently I tested the Kissed by Mii Seriously Smoothing Exfoliating Wipes. 👉 Where I Bought Them & Cost You can open a wholesale account through Gerrard International https://gerrardinternational.com/brands/mii/ but the first order must be £200, which isn’t ideal if you’re just testing a product. So instead, I ordered directly from their official website: https://miicosmetics.com/product/seriously-smoothing-exfoliating-wipes/ I paid £5 per pack of 25 wipes, making them very cost-effective compared to many other brands. 👉Comparison price with Norvell Exfoliating Wipes: Norvell wipes are a well-known option in the spray tan industry. However: Norvell trade price: £3 each, Norvell retail price: £5.99 each. One Norvell wipe is designed for full-body exfoliation. Norvell wipes are significantly larger Kissed by Mii wipes, on the other hand: Cost £5 for a pack of 25, meaning you pay 20p per wipe Each wipe is smaller, so one is not enough for a full-body exfoliation (£3 trade price) However, they’re excellent for targeted smaller areas. 👍If your goal is to increase profit and charge extra for a premium add-on, go for Norvell. But if you want something you can blend seamlessly into the price of your service without increasing the cost, Mii is the better option. 👉Ingredients List (as printed on the packaging) Aqua, Allantoin, Hamamelis Virginiana Leaf Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Disodium Coco-Glucoside Citrate, C18-22 Hydroxyalkyl Hydroxypropyl Guar, Olus Oil, Glycerin, Lauryl Glucoside, Polyglyceryl-2 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Glyceryl Oleate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Lactic Acid, Coco-Glucoside, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Tocopherol, Parfum.

A really valuable tip. Definitely adding these to my tool kit.

Anybody here offer them? I see they do alot of them in America. Just wondered if anyone has tried them over here? Did they/do they work?
This is really useful as I'm currently looking at introducing memberships in 2026. I am mobile but I'm also going to be upping my prices quite considerably in the NY and I was looking at offering the memberships to my most loyal supporters - the ones that have been with me from day one and champion me regardless of the time of year. Was trying to workout the best package so it benefits me and I'm not losing out and rewards them for their loyalty and support. I will take this points on board you've mentioned.
What was your small win this month?
Maybe a happy client, a new skill, or even something personal you're proud of?
@Louise Frowen it’s so hard at this time of year isn’t it? Even after 7 years I still really struggle with the transition of the spring/summer madness to the rollercoaster that is winter - It’s so unpredictable. Last Wednesday I was having a really bad day mentally trying to get through the quietness but by Friday, my week completely turned around, it’s all so last minute! It’s nice to be able to focus on the bigger picture business side though. Lots of strategising, plotting and planning. A day at a time is the only way through, and running! It really helps me with staying focused - I’m a mess if I don’t exercise. 🤯
@Izabela Jachowska thank you. I did a lot of work on my SEO this time last year and it paid off.
Client Fainting or becoming Dizzy
Techs have you ever had clients get dizzy or even faint in your tent/studio? I’ve had two young clients 16 & 17 actually faint in the past month. They were both ok thankfully. Fortunately I’d heard this can happen, so I wasn’t totally shocked in the moment. Both clients had different causes - one was dehydrated and hadn’t eaten for hours, and the other was extremely anxious about her formal (which I picked up on as soon as she started talking to me prior to starting). The rise in one clients body temp after she fainted caused so much perspiration that it created quite a few drip streaks on her arms, mid-back, and neck. I had completed 3/4 of her tan so I had to blend like crazy! Would love to hear if any of you have had this experience?
@Roberta Bal it never crossed my mind until it happened. I think the clients often feel embarrassed but it can’t be helped. Remaining calm for them is all you can do and make them feel safe.
@Izabela Jachowska yes, and the houses in this country are bloody hot in summer! 🥵 I often can’t wait to get back in my nice air conditioned car! 😂
