Grateful for the Pathway to Salesforce Community 🙏 Breaking into the Salesforce ecosystem is not easy, especially when you're coming from a different background and trying to figure out where to start. But having the right people in your corner makes all the difference. I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Godwin Mbah and the entire Pathway to Salesforce mentorship community. From day one, the guidance, encouragement, and resources shared in this program have been invaluable to my journey. I still remember when I first joined the program. I came in with a little experience already under my belt, thinking I had a decent idea of where I stood. But Mr. Mbah saw something in me that pushed me further. His encouragement from that very first interaction didn't just validate where I was, it made me hungry to do more, learn more, and reach higher than I had originally planned for myself. Mr. Mbah, your dedication to helping people like me break into this ecosystem doesn't go unnoticed. You didn't just teach us Salesforce, you showed us what it looks like to give back and lift others up. That means more than I can put into words. I'm still on my journey, still learning, still pushing forward, but I'm moving with confidence because of the foundation this community helped me build. Welcome to June everyone 🙏 We are now entering the middle of the year, and this is the perfect time to pause, reset, and ask yourself one honest question: Am I truly moving towards the goal I said I wanted? This month, we are raising the standard. We want more people certified and Job ready We want more people building projects. We want more people showing progress. We want more people moving towards real Salesforce opportunities. As we begin this new month, set a clear goal for yourself. What will you complete this month? Will you finish your current team roadmap? Will you book your certification? Will you complete more projects? Will you start positioning yourself properly for opportunities on LinkedIn? This month should not be random. Move with a plan. Also, I am excited to announce that on Thursday 4th at 8 p.m., We will be opening access to everyone to two of our most powerful new tools on the platform: PATHWAY COMPASS This will help you track your learning activities, follow your plan, stay accountable, and know exactly what you should be doing, see where you are struggling and see where you need help and move with accuracy. CORPERATE INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE (The Big One) This will give you a simulated real world corporate experience, helping you practise how Salesforce is used in an actual work environment, real stake holders, real corperate level working model. These tools are built to help you stop guessing and start moving with structure. June is not just another month.This is a month to execute, build, track progress, and move closer to certification and opportunities. Asda Salesforce Admin Project, Users, Security, Record Types, Sales Process and Path Project Type This project will be built live in class by the instructor. Students are expected to follow along during the session and then complete the same project inside their own Salesforce Developer Org. You may collaborate with others, but every student must complete the project personally and be able to explain their own setup. 🏢 Company Background You have just joined Asda as a Junior Salesforce Admin. Asda wants to improve how different internal teams manage customer related work inside Salesforce. The business wants better structure, better access control, and a clearer sales process for business customer opportunities. Asda has different teams using Salesforce: • Store Sales Team• Business Sales Team• Customer Support Team• Sales Managers• Regional Managers At the moment, everyone is using Salesforce in a very general way. There is poor structure around user access, opportunity stages, and how different teams should manage their work. ⚠️ Business Problem Asda is facing the following issues: • All users have similar access even though they do different jobs• Sales users are confused about which opportunity process to follow• Business sales deals are more complex than normal store related deals• Managers want visibility into their team’s records• Some users have access they do not need• There is no clear Path guiding users through sales stages• Leadership wants Salesforce to reflect how the business actually works 🎯 Business Goal Asda wants Salesforce to support the business properly by introducing: • Clear user setup• Better access control• Permission Sets for additional access• Record Types for different sales processes• Sales Processes with clear stages• Sales Path to guide users through each stage 🧠 Your Role as the Salesforce Admin As the Salesforce Admin, your job is to configure Salesforce so Asda users have the right access, follow the right process, and understand what to do at each stage of the sales journey.
