🎉 Thank You for Joining Us! - One Question for You...
Thank you for joining us last night at the Château Laurier! We were proud to welcome so many individuals exploring what’s possible at the Ottawa Police Service. From civilian roles to communications, special constables, and policing pathways - the evening was about opening doors and starting conversations. Now we have one question for you: What was the number one thing you learned? Was it something about the application process? A conversation with a unit member? The 30 Forward Initiative? A pathway you hadn’t considered before? We would genuinely value your response. Simply reply in the comments and share your biggest takeaway. For those interested in becoming a police officer, and you are ready to move forward with the fitness test, remember: 👉 Send Cst. Abid Nasim an email at: nasima@ottawapolice.ca to secure your spot for March 7 shuttle run. You will receive an email with your timing, location and waivers. This is not a practice session - it is for those ready to apply. Thank you again for taking the time to invest in your future!

I was just so inspired by so many good, passionate, proud people there last night. Passionate, kind, diverse, genuine, positive, supportive and powerful. If you have a genuine desire to serve, make a positive impact, and protect your community, you can't fail with amazing colleagues and the opportunities OPS offers. There are so many ways to pursue your passion and it was a privilege to be there, learn about career pathways, opportunities, and the power of diversity. I was lucky enough to meet a lot of officers and ask questions and thank them include Sgt. Jennifer. Thank you again. I will submit my application in 2 months.

Hi everyone, My name is Oguzhan Kilicarslan. I moved to Ottawa seven years ago and found love, peace, kindness, and safety here. This city has truly become my home. Since then, I’ve been rediscovering my passion, my purpose, and the most meaningful way I can give back to the community that gave me so much. After 15 years in the corporate world, I made the decision to step away and fully commit to preparing for my goal—and I’ve been working toward it with dedication ever since. Glad to be here. It's not just a job, it's rewarding, fulfilling and a great opportunity to serve and protect your people. Good luck everyone on your journey.
