RESET WEEK 2: TO-DO LISTS
Last week we acknowledged the many titles we carry and how we show up every day. This week we're resetting something many of us rely on daily - our to-do lists. For many, the to-do list becomes overwhelming because it grows faster than we can manage it... and guess what... that's ok! Just because it's on our list to be done, doesn't mean it has to get done when we write it down. My to do list right now is 4 pages (front and back). I'm not overwhelmed by it.. I'm excited about. It means when I sit down to do my planning, I can review what needs to be done in the coming week. Everything else will wait. Just because you wrote down you need to go to the cleaners, doesn't mean it has to happen this week. Just because you wrote down to mail out greeting cards, doesn't mean it has to get done this week. Just because you wrote down to clean off the shelf, doesn't mean it has to get done this week. See where I'm going with this? It's written down so you remember not so you can do it right now. You should have one notebook for your to do list. This organizes the tasks and allows you to stay on track. Having a notebook, post its, notes in phone, notes stuck in books and who knows where else... isn't the order you need. How are you currently organizing your to-do's? Or are your to-do's overwhelming you. Let's talk about it.
RESET WEEK 2: TO-DO LISTS
Most of my to-dos are tied to grad school work so they are time sensitive. I try to make reasonable lists outside of school but I do have the desire that sense I put it in my planner for that given day or week it should be done
Lol...I wish I did well with them. I wear many hats Nicole. I'm a single parent, caregiver of a parent with dementia, I have Fibromyalgia, I work full time and I am in grad school. I often find myself doing things at the last minute despite planning
WEEKLY PLANNING - A Gift To Yourself
Happy Sunday Flourish Family. One of the most powerful habits you can build is having a set day each week to plan. Life moves quickly. Between work, family, responsibilities, and the unexpected things that pop up, it’s easy to feel like the week is running you instead of you running your week. Taking time to look ahead before the week begins gives you the opportunity to pause and be intentional. When you plan your week, you can: ✨ See what’s coming before it arrives ✨ Prepare for busy days instead of reacting to them ✨ Make space for what truly matters ✨ Avoid double booking or overcommitting ✨ Create balance between responsibilities and self-care Planning weekly also allows you to ask yourself important questions like: • What are the most important things I need to accomplish this week? • Where do I need to protect my time? • What would make this week feel successful? Even if it’s just 15–20 minutes, sitting down with your planner helps bring order to the chaos. Remember: Planning is not about filling every space on your calendar. It's about giving your week direction. Your plans deserve your attention before the week begins. Reflection Question: What day works best for you to sit down and plan your week ahead?
I find that Sunday tends to be stressful if I plan then..so I normally go for Saturday Afternoon if I am not busy with other things. But I want to set a dedicated time to planning
RESET WEEK 1: WHAT ARE YOUR TITLES
As we begin our Reset Month, I want us to start with something simple but powerful. Before we talk about productivity, planners, or to-do lists… we have to acknowledge the many roles we carry. Many of us are showing up every day as: *Mothers *Wives or partners *Professionals *Business owners *Caregivers *Friends *Family Members And somewhere in the middle of all of those responsibilities… we are also trying to show up for ourselves. No wonder we feel overwhelmed at times. Reset Month is not about adding more to your plate. It is about recognizing what’s already there and learning how to manage it in a way that supports your life instead of exhausting you. The reflection is simple. What are your titles right now? Write them down in your planner or notebook. Acknowledge them. Because when we recognize the roles we carry, we can begin planning our lives with more intention and less pressure. Drop one of your titles in the comments below.
RESET WEEK 1: WHAT ARE YOUR TITLES
Caregiver
I honestly am overwhelmed by things. I can barely get time to enjoy some relaxing creative times for myself. I plan in my planner and then nothing goes according to plan
