Hi, I'm Nuri from the UK. I'm a blue belt. Not trained consistently for a few years now. I'm looking to get more consistent in my training but want what I do to be practical, simple and efficient.

@Andy DeJesus perfect!
BJJ wizardry poll 🧙‍♂️
Be honest. This is a safe space. Select the option that matches your jiu-jitsu powers. This helps me tailor training discussions, drills, and self-defense concepts to the group. Vote so I know who I’m dealing with in here 😄 💬 Drop a comment: • How long you’ve trained • Sport vs self-defense (or both) • Or the belt you feel like on your best/worst day 😏

Been training on and off since 2009. Originally with Dean Taylor who was a UK Rickson representative. I have a blue belt from Michel Verhoeven who my last club was linked to. I'm have not trained for a few years but started to try out some clubs close to me. I want to train for solid fundamentals and practical self-defense moving forward in my training and would like to know how to accomplish this if I train at clubs which have different aims.

@James Driskill thank you James
Wisdom
Share some wisdom with the group. I’ll go first. My opponent is my teacher, my ego is my enemy. Leave yours in the comments. 🙌

Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today
Focus for the week (breath)
This week try to start breathing audibly before you get tired. Make this your focus. If you get submitted because you’re focused on breathing, it’s ok. Let your attention be 75% on your breath and 25% on your partner. You will not do as well but you are practicing something that will pay off later. tchew tchew tchew tchew. Have a great week of training 👊
