Hello guys, are you below 1000 elo? Not a problem at all. I'm 1449. I'm here to help you with some opening tips!! Look, 4th tip is very important, make sure you read that. 1. Start with some good openings, I recommend you Italian, Spanish opening, and Queens Gambit. Some common ideas you shall follow in the opening are, make sure to move knights out before bishops. Gain space in the center, it's easy to attack when you have space. 2. Don't open the center if you haven't castled your king yet. If you are confused, about which side to castle, then look for your opponent's Queen and other pieces and try to see their coordination on attacking a square that will be too close to your castled king (if you castle there). Look out for displaced or weak pawn structure that may make your king exposed or too open. 3. Don't block your bishops with your own pawns, never do that, take your bishops out of their starting square and then you can close that diagnol, with a pawn or anything, which supports your position. 4. VERY IMPORTANT - Don't play moves, because they look good. You'll end up with you being forked, or most likely f*cked (I'm sorry for this). If you play moves like that, then it's called one side move, look for the best move your opponent can do, and prepare accordingly. Change sides, and give a strong play. Bonus Tip :- Don't do puzzles like crazy. They're basically sudoku, do at least 5 or 6 per day.
