music for mix
Hey everyone been a little while since I've posted something in here, gonna try to start being more active again though! Anyways some of yall may or may not know I have a mix out (kind of like the big bootie mixes / twinsick mixes / stuff like that) and recently have started to work on Vol. 2. Would love to incorporate some more music from people in here so if you guys have anything (could be released or unreleased) please send what you got through instagram, my gmail, this app, whatever you can do. Would love to make some edits with your guys music!
Introducing Artist Pass
Hey everyone, Hope you've all been doing well since we last talked! I wanted to share a new project I recently came across: ArtistPass. It's a platform built specifically for DJs, that lets you build a profile, showcase your mixes and sets, and find gigs near you - all in one place. I know firsthand how hard it can be to find real opportunities to get booked, and ArtistPass is aiming to make that process easier for DJs and promoters alike. Benefits 1. One clean profile instead of scattered links. Bring your mixes, social metrics, experience, and genres together in one polished page that promoters, venues, and collaborators will take seriously. 2. Apply directly through the app. Submit applications straight to real gigs instead of cold-DMing promoters and hoping for a reply. 3. Talent-first, not who-you-know. The platform is built around getting artists seen on merit, giving those without industry connections a genuine shot at landing shows. 4. A real backend for venues and promoters. Because promoters manage discovery and booking through the same system, the gigs posted are active, legitimate opportunities. 5. Free to join. ArtistPass is free to use, with an optional premium tier if you want added perks. If you're interested, check it out *HERE* *Artist Pass was founded in the Bay Area (West Coast), so a lot of the gigs are located there. I’m working with them to enlist more venues and promoters, especially in the east coast, so let me know if there are any venues you would like to see on AP! Please Note: I'm involved with ArtistPass as an industry advisor, but I don't make anything from signups. I just believe in what they're building and want to help as many up-and-coming artists as possible :) Happy to answer any questions in the comments. If you sign up, I'd love to hear how it goes, and feel free to share any feedback or feature requests with me! Hope you have a great week! Keep crushing it. - GS

August wins !
Some of you know this, but the last 2 months i was volunteering at a kids summer camp in Greece. I did not have access to my phone and it was a crazy 2 months lol. Somehow tried to stay up to date with music and quiet hours but it definitely got tough. Huge win for me was just getting through that and not worrying too much about the outside world. It was a once in a lifetime experience but I am officially back and rolling and so stoked to keep growing this community with you all. New videos, tutorials and breakdowns OTW!!! HUGE summer wins!!! Love yall

Mashup EQing
Hey everyone! Just was wondering for other people that make mashups, how do you EQ without the volume dipping in certain spots?? I have a few mashups where for one part of the drop, there is no vocal (the instrumental is playing at full volume) and then when the vocal comes in and I EQ the instrumental to make the vocal fit, I notice a volume decrease in the instrumental. Of course this is gonna happen because of how I'm getting rid of some frequencies but was wondering how people could get around this with less of a noticeable volume change. Thanks!
