1st of the Week!
Starting off strong... I know I ask for a lot of feedback from the community and some have asked me for specifics.. so here's what I'm always open to and looking for feedback wise on my beats 1.) over all mix. What could be mixed better? Is the mix too cold, muddy, etc...? 2.) Sound selection - One of my biggest struggles. Do the sounds go well together? Do the sounds fit the genre and feel? 3.) Is there room for an artist to write to this? 4.) In your opinion, can this be placed? Thanks as always.. let me know your thoughts!

1. Mix sounds good to me, clear and crisp 2. Sounds do go well together. It's hard to know when we have tunnel vision sometimes! 3. Yes an artist absolutely needs to write on this! 4. I'm not sure what this means 🫠

I just finished a new track!
Actually, I’ve noticed that it’s taking me much longer to finish a track lately. I think I’ve become more cautious and selective with every sound, including picking the right presets. Also, arrangement feels like the biggest challenge for me right now. I want to make sure the flow is perfect, but I often get stuck. Do you have any tips on how to improve arrangement skills or speed up the sound selection process? I really want to develop and solidify my own musical style. Right now, I feel like I'm just creating tracks without a clear direction. I want to move past just making music and start crafting a signature sound that is uniquely mine. ps, I’d love to know if there are any specific sample packs or Serum presets you would recommend

I have been struggling with arrangement A LOT lately as well. In the beginning when I first started out making music, it was more idea flow and creativity. Now, when you step into learning how everything is done from the pros you think everything has to be done a certain way and lose a little bit of that side. My BEST advice is to listen to an artist in your same style and copy their arrangement for now. Once you're complete with the song you can switch it up and make some lengths longer or shorter. If you want even more help, go on youtube and loop up arrangement help. There are a few ways to turn 8 bar loops into music by copy and pasting the loop 20 times and then carving out the section in to intro, build, breakdown, chorus, etc. I like your song by the way. It reminds me of old school EDM.

Aaliyah x Dark R&B Type Beat
This was a heat check today since I've been really pushing to go for volume. I'm aiming to hit 100 tracks on YouTube, BeatStars and other platforms by June, just to get the reps in and hone in on my "sound". Took about 45 minutes to make. Tried not to think too much Give me your thoughts..

It's produced very well, very nice and smooth through my speakers. I like the beat itself, it has a chill vibe. I'm too familiar with this style so I'd love to see how a vocalist does on this and what style they do

What's your goals for 2026?
New year - new goals! I want to know what your goals are when it comes to music production for 2026? Mine is to make at least a full song every week, but this is also my main job so it might be easier for me than for anyone who has this as a hobby.

Mine is to learn more about arrangement & how to be proficient at the mixdown process. I usually use ozone to master the tracks so next will be to master but one thing at a time!
