A quick question. How much are chess players willing to pay for chess tournament for registration. Because I paid x amount, and wanted to know if that is a fair prize. If I were to conduct a tournament and there is cash prize. How are you guys willing to pay. Note this is not for me to conduct a tournament, it is a general discussion question.

I would pay $25 to $30 dollars. And I paid $40 dollars for a chess tournament. $15 for sign up and $25 for registering for that particular tournament. And it was cash prize for winners.

Hi Justin, I am not planning to start that tournament either, it is a curious question to ask to know how much is too much for chess registration fee. I paid $25 and to me that seemed fair. So I want to know about other people's opinion. Nothing to start a tournament with that much fee.
