👋 Introduction Post — My Journey to Building Something from Scratch What’s up Synthesizer fam, I wanted to properly introduce myself and share a bit about my path so far. I didn’t come into business with investors, a fancy degree, or a blueprint. I started as a door-to-door salesman. That’s where I learned how to communicate, handle rejection, and sell — skills that became the foundation for everything I’ve done since. As I grew, I had to teach myself how to recruit, train, and build teams. That meant moving 18 times across 6 states, chasing wisdom from coaches and mentors. Each move was an investment in knowledge and growth. Eventually, I reached the point where I felt ready to start something of my own. Four of my closest friends moved with me from Chicago to Houston, and together we launched a marketing agency. In our first year, we did just over $1,038,000. In year two, we’ve already passed $1.1 million by September. It took me about 8 years to finally feel like I’m “winning,” and this is what some would call my overnight success. Why I’m Here I know a lot of you are still in the early chapters of your journey. I’ve been there — grinding, uncertain, chasing every ounce of knowledge I could. If I can contribute anything here, it’s perspective on leadership, sales psychology, and building teams from the ground up. I’m looking forward to connecting with other builders, learning from your experiences, and hopefully sparking conversations that push us all forward. 💬 What stage of the journey are you in right now?
