I’ll post a video about doing this with small object and how to introduce that at some point but — Use what you have and honestly I believe this makes an even bigger impact and connection with young children. It’s not the material is the framework (as I teach in the accelerator). I love this so much more than an alphabet craft or Khan Academy Kids šŸ˜… It also keeps kids in the same room/connected to us while also doing independent work. Have you done this?

What the Accelerator CAN do and what it CANT
Hi everyone- my accelerator is NOW in the classroom for sale and I want to make sure you understand that it is a course that can be completed in a week (it’s about 1hr worth of videos and then some videos of children demos). But it is NOT for your child to learn in a week. Your child will take as long as they want and need. šŸ’• The objective is to show PARENTS what to do and to have a framework and a plan so YOU can be play-based and these first years with ease of mind and direction. Often parents are working on letters and alphabet day and night, left and right, on YT, in the crafts, on the apps over and over the first years and it corrupts the literacy process AND their play. It’s too much and ends of not being enough. Because it doesn’t honor developmental need a follow a progression. But please don’t think because the course is short and the practice is minutes a day - the kiddos are reading and writing in days 🫣 it takes time. Picture RISING kindergartener. Mom started with me around 3. She had 2 years. šŸ’• (child basically uses 90% of all code when she WRITES, 60% when she reads, very typical for my clients)
