I’m an ordained animal chaplain, wildlife rehabilitator, and all-around lover of animals. I recently finished a children’s book called Love Doesn’t Stink, inspired by a precious baby skunk that won my heart. I wrote this story to share how loving and wonderful these little misunderstood creatures truly are. I’ve been testing something recently because I noticed a pattern… Someone would comment “interested” on my content I’d send them the info in a DM …and then silence 😅 At first I thought maybe they weren’t serious. But now I’m realizing a lot of people just don’t like clicking links or continuing convos in the DMs right away especially if they’re still unsure. So instead of sending links immediately, I’ve started asking a simple question first and keeping the convo light in the comments. I also let them talk about what they’re actually looking for. It’s taken more pressure off them… and honestly saved me from chasing people who weren’t ready. Still experimenting with it, but it’s felt more natural so far than cold follow-ups. Has anyone else noticed that people engage publicly but go quiet in private messages?
