What AI Video & Filmmaking ACTUALLY Takes
AI video tools promise you lightning speed. Create anything, fast, with just a prompt. And a lot of the time, you get in there and find out thatโ€™s simply not true. Iโ€™ve made $1,650 in three months creating AI film ads as a beginner, and hit 200 watch hours on YouTube in my very first month of publishing faceless videos. AND Iโ€™m still at the beginning and learning a lot every day. Hereโ€™s what I think actually makes the difference, because itโ€™s not the tools. Itโ€™s what you bring to them. Here are 4 steps to get started, and step 4 is the one that actually changes everything. 1๏ธโƒฃ Be intentional about who you learn from. This space moves fast and anyone can position themselves as an expert. Before you commit your time to someoneโ€™s method, do a little digging. Are they actually making things? Do they have real results? You donโ€™t need to audit them, just a basic gut check goes a long way. (I think you can tell a lot from a sales or about page usually!) 2๏ธโƒฃ One method for one outcome at a time. The biggest trap in this space is learning a little of everything, from everyone, all at once. It creates the feeling of progress without any real traction. Pick one specific outcome, YouTube content, AI short films, ads, and find one method for that. Follow it all the way through before you add anything else. 3๏ธโƒฃ Practice it until itโ€™s yours. Walking through a tutorial once isnโ€™t learning it. You have to try it, fail at parts of it, try it again, test it, tweak it, and keep going until something shifts. That shift is when it stops being someone elseโ€™s method and starts becoming your process. 4๏ธโƒฃ Build your own workflow. This is the real game changer! Everyone works differently. The way you think, the way you create, the pace you move at, thatโ€™s yours. No method you learn will be a perfect fit straight out of the box. The goal is to take what you learn, practice it enough that it becomes familiar, and then shape it into something that actually works for you. Your workflow is what makes this sustainable. Itโ€™s what makes you keep showing up and not having to start from 0 every time and figure it out while youโ€™re creating.

@Percy Ordonez @Miranda Mitchell I just shared a post about this and in the comments I shared links to the posts that Brenda wrote where she shared the films I created for her ๐Ÿ˜Š https://www.skool.com/ai-driven-business-summit/what-ai-video-filmmaking-actually-takes?p=67de951d

ChatGPT vs Claudeโ€ฆ worth switching?
Iโ€™m currently subscribed to ChatGPT and using it as a tool in my business, but Iโ€™m wondering if I should cancel and move over to Claude instead. Iโ€™ve heard it can be better for thinking through ideas, which is mainly what I use AI for. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Has anyone here switched between the two? Would love to hear what made you do it and how itโ€™s going.

@Brenda Rigney this! I am really trying to stay away as much as I can. Luckily I have a subscription for a platform that brings a lot of AI tools together so I rather use it there plus when I absolutely have to use chatgpt for image generation I will just use it free but as a last resort. Their huge advantage is the custom GPTs!
Re Monetisation
Greetings everyone I am so grateful for this community. My curiosity is, I see a lot of beautiful videos of shirt movies, story telling movies and the like. Please guide me on the best ones to use for say 3 to 10 minutes. Also how can I monetise AI? Thatโ€™s another word I hear thrown around, please enlighten me. Many thanks

Hi @Shola Victor-Sajowa, when it comes to video creation with AI, short films for ads and storytelling videos are completely different and require a different strategy and learning curve. For short AI film ads you want to learn how to specifically create them to make sure people watch until the end where usually the CTA is. It requires more editing but the end result is usually super effective, meaning viewers are much more entertained and likely to check out what youโ€™re promoting. For storytelling videos, YouTube is your best bet and you can even go faceless. Itโ€™s a long term game usually but your videos are building up watch hours and gaining subscriptions on the long run: you create a video once and people might be still watching them years from now, and obviously the more you create the more it adds up. I am learning about both in communities on Skool, if youโ€™d like I can send over the links to you in a dm, let me know.

OpenAI โ€œcalls it quits on Sora"
OpenAI shutting down Sora feels like another reminder that the AI space is moving fast, but not every shiny tool makes it into the long game. It also raises a good question for the rest of us: as AI tools come and go, what are we actually building into our stack for the long term? ๐Ÿ“Š What are you replacing Sora with in your AI suite, or are you skipping video AI altogether for now?
