You might have noticed that I cancelled the weekly calls. The reason is simple - it makes sense to have these calls only if there is something concrete to discuss or present :) Starting today, I will ask you to comment on issues / topics that you want to discuss during the call on Saturday at 7 pm Bangkok time. If I have a topic I would like to present, I will announce it beforehand and will let you guys know ;) That being said - do you have anything that you would like to discuss on Saturday the 24th of January?
I’d like to understand the expected depth of Swift and iOS knowledge for a Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) developer. How well should a KMP developer know Swift and native iOS development? Which iOS/Swift topics are considered essential, and what do interviewers typically expect or evaluate when hiring for KMP positions?
Here's a recording of the session we just had on how to inject platform-specific dependencies in CMP. Thank you @Nabil Bouzine @Iqbal Fauzi @Mohan Chaudhari for joining and participating!
Hey guys, just a heads-up. I won't be hosting a Q&A session today. I had food poisoning and now I have a cold 😅 . So the next one will be in a week. Btw, I'm thinking of posting coding challenges every week and we would solve them on the call together. What do you guys think? You can submit your challenges as well if you want.
To make getting to know each other easier, let's introduce ourselves. Tell us about you do, where are you from, what are your goals, hobbies, anything you want to share :) I'll start first.
Hi, my name is Nikita!👋 I'm from Ukraine but currently live in Austria. I currently work as a Senior Android Developer, building applications using Jetpack Compose. I'm striving to dive deeper into KMP) For fun, I like to do these 3 things: 1. Exploring new technologies and open-source projects on GitHub. 2. Gaming. 3. Traveling.
I'm glad that we have something in common! Currently, I live in Vienna and I totally agree that it's a beautiful place, even though the cost of living here is not quite high. Regarding the second part of your question: I'm generally interested in finding resources about KMP and all info related to this topic. Additionally, I'm really into communicating with developers and people in tech, so I think this place is a good fit for me))
