Hi everyone. Im taking my ASCP exam in September. I need advice. For those who have passed. I used polinsky flash card and the purple book. LabCe I have been scoring 66% or higher on the adaptive testing with an average difficulty of 6.22. I'm so nervous; it's killing me. Friend of mine took it, passed, but said it was more like the ASCP practice test. Which makes me extremely nervous because I really didn't take any time on that dang book. Need advice and good vibes.

So apparently I got a job. I’m not even sure how because everything happened so ridiculously fast. Honestly, I think I dissociated through that interview and just happened to say the right combination of words because they sent me an offer the next day. It at a cancer hospital, with the exact hours I wanted. Which is actually really cool and slightly terrifying. I’m still kind of in shock because, if I’m being honest, I wasn’t even planning on going into this field. But apparently the universe laughing in my face, and saying, “Cute. Anyway…” This has been a LONG road, and maybe one day I’ll be able to look back and say, “Wow, that was totally worth it.” 🫩For now, I’ll be over here trying to process the fact that I accidentally built a career while mentally buffering for the last walk At this point my therapy is now call "professional development."

I passed!!! 🎉 I have NO idea how! Does not feel real..... That test was... I don't even know what that test was. I feel like I dissociated through the entire exam. The only thing I kept whispering to myself was, "Think it through," just like Marilyn @marilynthescientist always says. Meanwhile, my internal monologue was just the F-word every two minutes. 😂 I was fully convinced I was failing the entire time!!! I mean THE WHOLE TIME. I almost walked out🤣 I felt despair self-deprecation you name it but..... I clicked Submit, a few words I barely even comprehended appeared on the screen, and then I saw PASS. Ten weeks of nonstop studying paid off! Afterthoughts: I despised my program director and basically lived at school five days a week, 8 hours a day for two and a half years. It still feels like a fever dream. But somehow I made it through......
