I wish I would have said
5AM in London fighting you in my head winning all the arguments Saying all the things I wish I would have said Reliving all the moments Oh how I wished, I did What I could’ve done If I would’ve known then What you never said If you could’ve saw it all I think you never did See all of me, the way you never did *** Thoughts??? Have you ever had an argument with your partner and then later thought to yourself I wish I would’ve said…….. ?? Should this become a song? Post your comments below, and if you have similar writings, please post and share with us

🎶 INK & ALCHEMY - Lyrics Challenge - ST. PATRICK’S DAY EDITION 🍀
Hey Alchemists, Today we’re turning words into Irish St Patty’s Day music. ✨ Let’s explore traditional Irish song structure and see how simple words and stories can become magical Irish songs. Challenge Dates - March 5th - March 17th) 🍀🌈🍺👯‍♀️ and on Saint Paddy‘s Day. We will pick a definitive winner and celebrate together! Irish Song Writing Basic Ideas (Mini Cheat Sheet): 1.) Strophic = using the same tune for each verse Definition: Strophic (adj.) – A song structure in which the same melody is repeated for each verse, while the lyrics change. Common in folk and traditional songs, it emphasizes storytelling and makes the song easy to remember and sing along to.) 2.) Verses: Most Irish songs use short, easy-to-follow lines. Much like nursery rhymes. 3.) Emphasize on Storytelling: Irish songs tell a short story using themes like - love, luck or adventure (think about the leprechaun finding the gold pot at the end of the rainbow etc. 4.) Create a Refrain / Chorus (one or two lines) Definition, Refrain : an Irish songwriting word Refrain (n.) – A line or group of lines that repeats throughout a song, usually at the end of a verse or between verses, to emphasize a key idea or emotion. Often called the chorus in modern music.) Your Ink & Alchemy Challenge: 1️⃣ Pick a St. Patrick’s Day theme: 🍀 luck, 🌈 rainbows, 💰 pots of gold, 🍺 Irish pubs, 🧝‍♂️ leprechauns, 🌧 green hills, or bad luck turned good. 2️⃣ Write 1–2 verses like a traditional Irish song. 3️⃣ Add a “refrain” that could be repeated. EXAMPLE: Theme: Luck 🍀 Verses: 🌈👯‍♀️ Morning hides the rainbow’s glow We dance with leprechauns in the snow Hearts so bright, our spirits free Magic lingers silently Refrain/Chorus: Luck will find you everyday Magic grows where we play Drop your Irish songs in the comments 🍀 Let the Ink & Alchemy Song Jam begin!

Ink & Alchemy Guidelines ✨✨✨
1. KEEP POSTS IN LINE WITH INK & ALCHEMY— This is a creative space. Posts should lean toward poetry, lyrics, or intentional reflection — not casual venting. We transform experiences into art here. —- and then of course the obvious make sure that you do not advertise or litter in this group. —— If we find your post offensive it will be taken down. 2. MAKE ART —- Alchemize your words and experiences, but don’t unload dirty laundry and expect us to clean it up. It’s okay to process hard things — but shape them. Even raw emotion deserves to be presented as art. 3. RESPECT THE ROOM. No mocking, shaming, or dismissing someone’s work. We critique our craft to make each other better — never to tear down another human. 4. HONEST FEEDBACK Feedback should be thoughtful and specific. Please make an effort to be honest, but also respectful and loving. 5.SIGN YOUR WORK WITH YOUR PEN NAME - Keep it original, don’t plagiarize - Do not use Chat GPT to write your whole piece. We can tell…….. - Share your own work unless clearly crediting inspiration.  And please make sure to tell us exactly where and who you are crediting . 6.CONFIDENTIALITY MATTERS. What’s shared here stays here. Screenshots or reposting without permission is not allowed. 7.PARTICIPATE OVER PERFECTION You don’t have to be polished. We are not looking to make anybody famous here. We are looking to build a community together to heal and enjoy the written word and to make new friends.
