Workshop in Guatemala is now FREE!
Hi everyone! Sir Cobalot and I decided to make the Workshop for FREE, for our Yearly Community members! If you are in the monthly subscription, you will have to get to level 3 to get it for free. šŸ’š COMMUNITY MEMBERS: The workshop itself is FREE as part of your Yearly Membership. You only contribute toward accommodation and meals: šŸ” Shared Room (including meals): $380 šŸ›– Private Room: +$200 ⛺ Camping (bring your own tent): $150 (including meals) šŸ’° NON-MEMBERS: Workshop + Food + Accommodation = $899 Many natural building workshops in North America and Europe cost between $1,500 and $3,500+, often before accommodation and food are added. Our goal is to make these skills accessible while building a thriving community of people interested in regenerative living, natural building, sustainability, freedom, and creating a better future together 🌱 āš ļø Limited spots available. To Secure your Spot go the the Classroom Tab and click on "Live Workshop in Guatemala" and pay the the basic $380. šŸ“© For more Questions: DM me or email:INFO@SIRCOBALOT.COM Many greetings and let's keep building together! šŸ’œ Aziel

Another great book (& website)
Sure some of you know but I’m reading this one again, it’s kind of a classic! Also the website (same name) was the original project of sharing pictures of cabins around the world šŸŒŽā›ŗļøšŸ›– Magic & inspirational šŸ’«

The Natural House Book
Just finished reading this one (in Italian) but original title is The Natural House Book by David Pearson. It’s not a new book but so informative and still so relevant for today’s builds. It’s crosses history, psychology & wellbeing, economics of construction, traditional techniques from all continents as well as colors, material choices, etc. Well highly recommended šŸ¤“āœŒšŸ½

Hey, I haven’t started building my cabin yet but I’ve done fencing in my farm and I can tell you these would not work for a building with earth movement (ie after rain everything will move). These poles are too narrow and thin in my opinion šŸ˜‰

Alternative materials to cob mix?
I’ve done some experiment tests with coffee ground waste to a super clay earth sample (found on tracks near fields, not my land). Some strange shapes and 5% / 10% coffee added). Has anyone tried other agri waste or other local materials to their cob mix? Other than just straw and sand
