Keeping track of your collection
I try to keep my collections in order and in the past just used a spreadsheet to record purchase date, cost, etc, but found a great alternative I wanted to share. There is an open source project that combines the spreadsheet interface with a database backend, called grist (GetGrist.com). You can store all your data, add pictures, python code (to pull current prices), and many other things, all for free. The creators hope as your data grows, you will move into a paid tier but since its open source, you can download it and run it locally. (I am just a user, nothing to do with the software) I have been using this for 1-2 years and really love it. I keep my book, cologne, tool, and watch collection in it. Cloud accessible from anywhere (but no app yet). Let me know if this was helpful.

You'll get at least 5 likes (oftentimes more!) which will move you to level 2 and on your way to level 3 (these levels give you access to prizes!). What to say in your intro? Share where you're from, your reason for joining, your profession, perhaps your favorite watch or a picture of your entire collection! Whether you're a seasoned watch collector or just starting, have fun engaging with the group.

I'm Nicolai, 34, from Denmark. I first noticed that watches were cool when I saw the one James Bond wore in Goldeneye. I remember that I had a cheap watch with a rotating bezel that reminded of the watch from the movie, which I thought was the coolest thing ever. In my teenage years when I for whatever reason stopped caring about my appearance, I stopped wearing watches, and haven't worn one for years now. Just as with Antonio's other two groups, I see this group as a great opportunity to reconnect with this aspect of style by learning properly about watches and me inspired by the other members.

I am 36 years old and trying to navigate towards a more rewarding life. I never gave much thought to style, but RMRS has inspired me to learn about it
