It is Out!
It is out. I sat down with Jason Dennis from WTVM and talked about the three things that drive everything I do. The Ranger. The Reverend. The Runner. And why I built The Arena. This is probably the most public conversation about who I am and why this community exists. Link in the comments. Go listen and come back here and tell me one thing that landed for you.

What's the Gap?
I want to try something different this week. Instead of asking you what your goal is or what your thing is, I want to ask you something harder. Think about the best version of yourself. Not the Instagram version. The real one. The person you are when everything is clicking, when you are living with intention, when you feel like yourself. Now be honest. What is the biggest gap between that person and who you are showing up as right now? Not a goal. Not a resolution. A gap. Name it here. One sentence. I will go first in the comments. Then I want to talk about it this week.

@Philip Hawkins I love the 3 F's, and a good therapist. I can relate to the spiral. I have worked hard to recognize the signs in my body before they happen. For me, my HR increases, and I start talking faster than normal. When that happens, I know I need to check in with myself. Which F do you think is the hardest?

@Ava Reaves excuses are so tempting. Remaining comfortable is an easy trap to fall into. Sounds a lot like the temptations discussed in Screwtape Letters, haha!
New Here? Read This First.
Welcome to The Arena. Glad you are here. This is not a course library or a content feed. It is a community built around one idea: you already know what you want to do. You just need people around you while you do it. Here is how to get started: Step 1. Introduce yourself in the Introductions thread. Your name, where you are from, and one thing you are working on right now. That is it. No pressure, no performance. Step 2. Head to the classroom and start with Do the Thing. It is free, it is short, and it will give you a framework you can use immediately. Step 3. If you have questions, ask them. In the feed, in a thread, or reach out directly. Nobody figures this out alone and that is exactly why this place exists. This is your room now. Use it.

What's waiting for you: Every week I show up in this feed with something real — a question, a challenge, a thought worth sitting with. Show up with me. Every Sunday, we have a group Zoom. Open to everyone. Real questions, real conversation. No agenda, no performance. Do the Thing — a free six-module self-coaching framework is dropping soon. It's your first step inside The Arena. Watch for it. Free members get the community, the Zooms, and Do the Thing. When you're ready to go deeper — courses, coaching, and more are available. You'll know when it's time. @Steven Werley This is amazing. I need to look into a trifecta! How long until your next ultra-distance race?

@Steven Werley that's great! I also love 50k distance races. I am excited to follow along on this journey!
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
Most people wait until everything is ready before they start. The foot isn't right. The course isn't finished. The timing isn't perfect. I'm building The Arena on a hurt foot and filming videos this weekend anyway. Not because I have it together. Because waiting for ready is just fear with a better excuse. What are you waiting to be ready before you start?

@Tony Mozisek , excellent! A calorie deficit is great, but watch those nutrient needs and hydration as you increase your training. I have a great dietitian if you start wanting more support. She is amazing! Doing your metabolic testing and knowing exactly where your body is and what it needs can make the journey much more enjoyable and fruitful! As for the bike, crush those zone 2 rides and listen to your body.
