Just being in this group for a short time has already shifted how I’m thinking about my own community. In the last 48 hours alone, we’ve jumped about 40 points in discovery, and that didn’t come from changing content or pushing harder. It came from engagement. The biggest lesson for me has been this, it has to be fun. Sobriety is important work, but it’s also a heavy topic. If everything feels serious all the time, people stop showing up. They disconnect. Mixing in play, lightness, and momentum matters more than I realized. Today I rolled out a Community Games Challenge in my group, with weekly, monthly, and yearly recognition. It’s designed to encourage showing up, supporting each other, and staying engaged. It also gives winners a sneak peek into the paid subscriptions, which feels like a win on both sides. I’m really excited about where this is going. Huge appreciation for this group and the inspiration that comes from simply being in the room and paying attention.
