👀 GCN Stack Height test
Cool to see the boys at GCN taking the time to test stack heights with an adjustable stem. What do you think about the conclusion?

I watched it … seems like GCN got so psyched they got access to a wind tunnel that they forgot about the most important question … how much power can you sustain at the various stem/stack heights. In the tunnel, yes, the cdA for the super low stack is best but then the commentator says that he can barely hold it! What good is that? Sorry that they took the time to throw cold water on the idea of the high stack while not actually doing a thorough analysis!

My Reppit build
First time ever building a bike from the ground up and it was a great project to do with my father. The total weight is 8,395 kg.

Very Nice! My Reppit is treating me very well here in Los Angeles. Arne, how many are built up and on the road now? I had someone say “Is that a Morpheus?” to me at an event few weeks ago. Most folks just say “cool bike, what is it?”.

🔥 Nick's Road to Reppit
@Nick Gillock is one of the first owners of a Morpheus Reppit. Being very generous with his time, he documented his build and this is what he shared with me today. I think it is interesting for you as well. 💬 Nick's words: ''Thought you might enjoy the attached chronicling my journey to being a very happy Reppit owner. I am super fast on this bike. I did a 4-1/2hr ride on it last weekend and completely torched the guys I ride with normally. Yesterday I finished some “last couple percentages” tweaks to position with my fitter (he’s super happy with my position). On Sunday I’ll be doing a 40mile Circuit Race on a great breakaway course. After that in a few weeks I’ll race it in a 20k TT I’ve done many many times and will be super interested to see how it stacks up with my times on the TT bike. Feel free to broadcast/distribute however you see fit Arne. It was an exciting and complicated process that we went through and I thought deserved some documentation. I honestly feel that it all was 100% worth it. This bike and the way it fits me is exactly what I was imagining (in the abstract) when I began the project. Now it is a reality and although racing (and getting meaningful results as a racer) is always a huge challenge, I really believe the Reppit is going to let me start every race a few steps closer to the podium.''

@Robert Wagner Hi Robert, Good question about the BB. In the first round on picking the crankset I’d gotten a high end CeramicSpeed BB for the T47/GXP. When it became clear that the GXP crank would not work and I pivoted to SRAM DUB I decided to just get the basic BB for the purposes of determining if DUB would work. That said, I will at some point upgrade the BB to a fancier ceramic bearing one. As for the Osymetric chainrings, I know they are funky looking but I’ve been using them for years. I still think they offer performance advantages. They did win a few Tour de France’s not so long ago after all!!
