How to use
Hello I would like please to know how to use my Krypton lamp please? How long use per day, which mode (red, IR, NIR, UVA, UVB), in which order and how long each mode, which part of the body, which distance, do we need to protect the eyes, which moment of the day is better, etc? I want to use for vitamine D and optimise my energie etc…thanks in advance

@Gudrun Sølvberg Hey! This would be a dose dependand type of thing. Being in Scandinavia you'd need to watch how your skin reacts. It's a marathon, so a little bit at a time is better - there's no rush. How do you react with the 1min? Maybe try 90sec for a while, then up a little etc. Being that far up latitude wise, you can really bias the cold as well. Do you do any type of cold therapy? Your mitochondria is also designed to work in the cold and work really well. This is to compensate for seasonal changes. Most people, however, are always rugged up and live a fully insulated life when it's cold. This is a disaster for your health. You've basically taken away the sun's spectrum, and also the cold - the two mechanisms that your body needs to keep you healthy.

@Gudrun Sølvberg Cold is easy to get into as well. A bowl of ice water and dunking your face for 20sec at a time is a way to build tolerance. Baby steps! If you get warm in around 10min, your good for more. If you struggle to get warm in 10min, you went too hard. But, once you build it up, your body naturally craves it. I'm unsure if there's an upper limit on usage. I'd watch how hot the device gets. My turns off at 5min, I then have another 5min dose on the other side of my body and that's enough for me. It's more of a lifestyle thing, rather than a solid bout - if that makes sense?
New device
Hey everyone! I purchased a red and near infrared light device from emr tech, the fire wave. Are you able to give me more details like its benefits, how to use it for optimal benefits, why we need the black goggles?…

@Maria Schutz Just a thought... You go outside all the time and don't look directly at the sun... It's the same concept really. If you don't look directly at it, you'll be ok. My battle is with our kids looking into our one (it's a novelty afterall LOL). They are much better now as it's becoming part of normal life :)
Tanning Beds
This might be a silly question: Does anyone know what type of light tanning beds use? I know we’ve been told they are sooo bad for us but now I question everything…. !

You'd have to know the unit that the clinic uses. Then look at the globes they use and then work out what they output... That might be hard info to get out of the clinic as most would buy the unit and have it maintained by the manufacturer etc. They also use fluroesent tubes which would have a lot of flicker. You might not "see" it, but its basically subjecting your full body to a strobe-like affect. That's not ideal. If you can get up close and personal to one, record the light through the slo-mo camera on your phone and you'd notice the flicker present. The next is the cost benefit of using a clinic for your therapy. How many sessions per week to get what you're after? The pre and post time it takes to get there and back etc. Those type of costs add up if you're looking for a lifestyle change... My-2-cents anyways :)
Safe to use for children
Hi! Another question; would the firedragon be a good choice to try to treat eczema in a 3 year old? We got prescribed cortisone creams, but I’m not a fan of that for many reasons. The sun seems to really help, but where we live (NL) we don’t get much sunny days in a year.

I have a 6 and a 2 year old. We get out of the shower and hang out in front of our panel and get dressed. It’s just light. You’d have a bigger dose outside in the sun. The hard part is keeping them from looking into the panel! lol. It’s usually around a 10min session for us and it’s been fine.
