Replacing My Current SDR Role - Advice??
I want to automate myself out of my current role. I'm currently an SDR at a SaaS company, and my job is to fill our Account Executives' calendars with qualified meetings. My goal is to build an AI outbound system that consistently books enough qualified meetings to pay for itself. If I can do that, I'll have transformed my role from manually prospecting every day into managing an automated revenue engine. That's why I joined this community. I'm hoping to learn from operators, agency owners, and builders with real-world experience automating outbound. From prospecting and personalization to follow-ups, reply management, qualification, and meeting booking. If you've built successful AI outreach systems, tested AI SDRs, or learned hard lessons along the way, I'd love to hear about your experience. Looking forward to learning from you all.

love this Mick, right instinct. real talk, the system isnt the hard part, its the list and the follow up speed. weak leads or slow follow up is what kills outbound. id start simple: apollo + claude code for a tight enriched list, n8n to run it, a voice ai layer for the calls and booking. whats your setup now, mostly email or dialing too? ive been building these for years so if you want i can map it to your exact saas, free with members.

@Mick McConnell Yessir let’s do it. I originally started as an SDR and can help you get set up. Talk soon 💪🏼
Your newest hire lives in Slack now.
Most people think Claude is a chat tab you open alone. Wrong. Here's the move. Anthropic just shipped Claude Tag. One Claude lives in your Slack as a shared teammate. 🟠 Tag Claude into a channel with a job in plain English. It breaks the task into steps and runs them solo. 🟠 It posts updates in the thread. Anyone can jump in and steer it. One identity for the whole team. 🟠 It remembers your channels, works for hours or days, and follows up on threads everyone forgot. The proof. Anthropic says Claude Tag already handles 65% of its product team's code changes. It even built most of itself. One catch. It's a beta. Team and Enterprise plans only for now. Operators who put an AI teammate in Slack win. Everyone else keeps doing the busywork by hand. Comment TAG and I'll send you the first 3 jobs I'd hand it.

@Code Guru for what we do here (building agents, coding, computer use) claude is my daily driver. its more reliable for agentic work and the tool use is ahead right now. openai is still strong, gpt-5.4 driving a screen is legit, i just reach for claude first. on limits the Max plans give way more room now and agent runs got split into separate credits so they dont eat your chat cap. usually thats a plan tier thing not the model. what are you running into mostly?

@Code Guru yeah running 3 codex plans is a smart way around the cap anxiety honestly. for what you do (voice agents, heavy tool use) id still give claude a month, the agent runs pull from separate credits now so you can hammer tool use without eating your chat cap. thats what changes the math for you, not the raw model. and give fable a run since you never tried it, it holds long multi step reasoning better than anything ive used. spin up one max plan, point it at a real agent build and lmk how it goes.
Your AI agent now runs from your pocket.
Most people think your AI agent is stuck on your laptop. Wrong. Here's the move. OpenClaw just shipped native iPhone and Android apps. Your agent still runs on your own machine at home. The app is a secure remote to it. 🟠 Pair your phone to your gateway with a QR code. Takes a couple minutes. 🟠 Chat with your agent anywhere. Or hit Talk mode for real time voice. 🟠 Every action it wants to take waits for your approval first. You tap yes from your phone. No new subscription. The app is free. Your agent runs on hardware you already own, not someone else's cloud. One catch. It's brand new. The Android app is rough around the edges. iOS is cleaner right now. Operators who carry their agent win. Everyone else is chained to a desk to run theirs. Comment POCKET and I'll send you the first 3 jobs I'd hand my phone agent.

(START HERE) Welcome to Automation Academy! 🎉
Hey everyone - glad you're here. Whether you joined for the courses, the community, or both, this will be the most valuable investment you've made if you actually use it. I think most people join things like this and never do anything with them. Don't be that person. I created this community to help you grow in your career, your personal life, and connect with like-minded people who are actually doing the work. It's about you and I hope you enjoy everything my team and I have put into it. First thing - book your onboarding call with me: BOOK FREE ONBOARDING CALL This is a one-time call where we'll go over what you're trying to build and give you a custom roadmap. Most people skip this and wonder why they're not getting results. Don't skip it. New here and on the free plan? You still get access to the first 4 modules of every mastery course — check the "Free Preview" versions in the Classroom. Try before you buy. Second thing - introduce yourself below: - What's your name? - Where are you based? - What made you join and what are you trying to build? I want to see where everyone's coming from and what you're working on. The courses cover AI video mastery, automation, sales frameworks, prompt engineering, GHL, and more. The AI space is evolving fast and I'm adding new stuff constantly so you have the most current training. Before you touch any course, watch the mindset videos. I know it sounds like something you'd skip. Don't. People who actually build stuff and get results watch these first. People who just collect courses and never execute skip them. The community part matters more than you think. Ask questions. Answer questions. Share what you're building. The people who engage here get way more out of it than the ones who lurk. That's just how it works. If you're looking to hire, get hired, or partner with someone, check the Partnerships section. Weekly Live Class (Code Brew): Every Thursday 8am - 9am PST. Bring your questions and anything you're stuck on. We go through it together live.

Welcome in, both of you. Drop a quick intro here so I know what you're working with. Where you're based and the #1 thing you want automated this month. Tell me that and I'll point you to the exact module to start.

@Code Guru welcome in Code Guru. voice agent agency is a solid lane, lot of demand for it right now. easiest first move is to book the free onboarding call up top and ill map out which modules to hit and what to build first for voice. lmk what youre working on and ill point you the right way.
Sales Call Quality Agent
I'm looking to create an agent that would review all of my client calls automatically. Any idea how I would go about doing this?

Yeah this is super doable. Easiest way is to get your calls auto transcribed (Fireflies or Fathom both work), then run each transcript through Claude with a scoring rubric based on your own sales process. It grades every call, flags what got missed and writes coaching notes for you. Push that to a google sheet or slack and you barely have to listen to calls anymore. Only thing that really matters is the rubric. If its vague the scoring is useless. I've built this exact thing before so if you get stuck just lmk, happy to help you out

Do you have any sales? Map out from start to finish what it looks like for past closed deals. From there you can make it a repeatable process and hand it off to a commission based sales rep
