Slipforms with Plywood and Snap-ties?
Hi all, was wondering if anyone here has ever tried using conventional concrete wall forms for cob? snap ties, 3/4" plywood or osb, jahn a / waler brackets, and turnbuckles. How does the performance compare to the 2x2" mesh and travel rods that Alex uses? I'm going to be forming concrete walls for my crawlspace and retaining wall, and so I was wondering if I could just reuse the same forms. It sure would be convenient, but I'm not sure what I'd need to do differently to make it work.

@Alex Sumerall awesome, I’ll give it a go on a test wall in a couple weeks. Thanks Alex!
