Latency when recording
Hey guys I'd like to get as many opinions on this as possible. When I'm recording i can always hear myself with a delay in the headphones, making it sound like I'm off beat. I've found ways of getting good takes despite this but it still usually bothers me, especially when I first get back into the booth. My producer says most rappers like hearing themselves in the headphones and that I should get used to it. Do you guys have latency on your vocals when you record? If so does it throw you off? Thanks everyone!

What's up everyone, I've been writing lyrics for about 6 years and I just got my first song distributed a couple months ago. I'm super excited to learn from everybody here 🔥

1) Is there a BMN referral link or code for ForeverFan? 2) Are there other tools like ForeverFan that you'd recommend to an artist starting from zero? 3) Which reputable sumbission/discovery sites would you recommend to avoid getting botted streams? 4) I get DMs from publishers, DJs, and promoters on Instagram all the time. Most ask for $20-$150 as the price for their services. Is any of that relevant to an artist starting from zero? If so how do I identify scammers vs legit offers? Thanks so much, y'all are doing gods work out here.

TikTok in-app linking to Spotify
Hello everybody. TikTok has done several test regarding linking users to Spotify (or other streaming platforms) when using music in the app. TikTok's test phase is over, the feature will be launched in USA and United Kingdom. And more territories will follow. What is it? It basically comes down to TikTok users being able to save a track to a Spotify playlist or library. This creates a unique and valuable link between the social media platform and a streaming service. How does it work? An 'Add Song' button is placed besides track names in TikTok's 'For You' feed. Tapping the button enables users to save the track to a default playlist (Liked Songs on Spotify and TikTok Songs on Amazon) or any other playlist of choice. YouTube is not (yet) part of the deal and Apple will be added in the coming months and Amazon will follow. Tell me your thoughts on this one?

Seems like TikTok is making itself even more useful to our community, is it even possible for this to be a bad thing for artists?
