There will never be another you - head and improv
https://youtu.be/Abdr1o9YEYw A very tired run through of another U head and improv. I was so tired I even lost my place once or twice, but while there were errors and lapses some of it sounded pretty good to me so I'm posting it. Forget about perfection, right! I'll appreciate feedback but I won't be able to reply to any of your comments since the school platform broke Accessibility for screen readers. If anyone wants or needs to communicate with me the alternatives are my email and/or text. My email is Philhalt@gmail.com and my text number is 413-535-8060. So this is probably my one year anniversary video as I signed up September 1 of last year. Before that I was just a Bluegrass banjo picker who was curious about jazz. Now, I feel like I'm getting some foundations in the three main pillars of harmony rhythm and improv. A little shakey and still a long way to go, but I feel like I've got a basis to work from now. Probably won't be posting again for a short while as I'm having surgery on the left wrist in about eight days and that'll keep me hands off the guitar for a week to 10 days anyway. Hopefully when it heals it'll be smooth sailing and I can get down the business again.

Nice and good luck!
Summertime 3CE
Second part of my homework this week (from @Mentor Bob Kinney ): 3 chorus exercise of Summertime (head in, comp/improv, head out). I tried to replicate something similar to playing with a combo last weekend. After listening- I hear that the timing seems off - and the chord stabs are sloppy. So this is one I will come back to after gaining some more knowledge about improv, etc. Thank you for your comments and suggestions! https://youtu.be/cb2PNzwyirg?is=3vuuuYRoPSpOr7CC

Good job Casey.
Summer's End (step 1)
I'm starting to work these days with volume 3 of Barry Galbraith (with Marc's videos, they are fantastic!), very difficult and very useful at the same time. To relax a little, I wanted to start playing a piece by Ralph Towner that I've always liked: Summer's End, a beautiful ballad. I've made the chord sequence with iReal Pro (I attach an image). It's the second tribute that I dedicate to my beloved Ralph Towner (who I've been listening to since I was sixteen) and who passed away this past January. I'll also try to make a chord melody, let's see if I can manage it.

Another nice one Miguel -- great tone -- beautiful guitar -- nice lines, well executed.

Welcome -- ice is broken!
Autumn Leaves Jam
My take on Lesson 5. Tried to restrict myself strictly to approachs to the third during impro. The thing is far from finished but tomorrow is my coaching call with gabriel... https://youtu.be/GjJuXXrGVNk

Looking to learn jazz guitar. I come from a rock blues background and want to expand my vocabulary.
