Welcome, everyone. In this presentation we’re exploring Spagyrics, the alchemical art of herbal medicine, drawing inspiration from Dennis William Hauck’s book Spagyric Alchemy: Isolating the Life Force in Plants. Rooted in the teachings of Paracelsus, spagyrics approaches plants through the principles of separation, purification, and recombination. By working with the three alchemical principles of Sulfur, Mercury, and Salt, alongside the four elements of Earth, Water, Air, and Fire, this tradition seeks to understand the plant as a unified expression of nature’s intelligence. But spagyrics is more than a method of preparing botanical remedies; it reflects a deeper philosophy of transformation. Through the stages of alchemical refinement, we explore how something can be broken down into its essential components, purified, and brought back together in a more integrated form. Today, we’ll examine how these ancient principles offer a fascinating perspective on the relationship between nature, consciousness, and the human journey toward wholeness.
